Featuring the ability to play high-resolution audio from USB connections—or even over Bluetooth via Sony's proprietary LDAC technology—the CAS-1 is a desktop audio system with an integrated headphone amp. It's capable of driving a total of 40W RMS to its dual speakers, both of which are configured with 0.6" soft-dome tweeters and 2.4" cone-type woofers.
The system accepts USB type-A and type-B connections, allowing you to play MP3s, WAVs, FLACs, AACs, and more. Should you wish to stream audio straight from your phone or device via Bluetooth, NFC pairing is supported. Furthermore, the CAS-1 can pair with up to nine devices at any one time. Its control panel is relatively streamlined, with a large volume control front and center, and on/off button located at the top of the amplifier, and a selector button for switching between USB type-A, USB type-B, and Bluetooth wireless connections. An on-board LED alerts you to your specific volume at any time. A remote is included with the CAS-1, as are the relevant speaker cables, power cable, AC Adapter, Mounting Spikes, and more.
