I got tired of fumbling with the thread in tulips which never seem to stay in place for vey long. This hood is simple quarter turn and it's locked where you need it to be.

Great for Glare

Hello, we purchased this lens hood to use on our vacations and outdoor activities. We typically go to the Caribbean once a year and due to the massive amounts of sunlight and glare on the ocean we decided to purchase this lens hood to assist us with the pictures. So far, we've been very impressed with this product and it serves its intended purpose. We feel that the pictures have less glare and improved clarity. I also purchased the lens hood for my additional lens with my camera. I feel it is beneficial to have a hood for each lens. I would not hesitate to make these purchases again.

question

can this Canon hood accommodate one or more filters when used with the EF-S 55-250 IS lens?
Asked by: Paul C.
The hood itself doesn't interfere with any filters that use an outside thread on the filter that screws into the inside thread of the lens; this includs the lens cap. The hood itself in normal mode points outward, and it can also point inward for storage. Either way, screw-on filters and stacks of screw-on filters are not affected.
