It features 16GB of built-in storage and is equipped with a microSD slot that supports microSDXC cards up to 128GB. For high-speed Internet connectivity, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi is on-board. The ZenPad 8.0 comes equipped with an embedded 4000mAh rechargeable battery that's designed to offer up to 8 hours of enjoyment before recharging is needed. The ZenPad 8.0 comes with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system pre-installed, which is designed for fluid and intuitive multi-touch navigation and multi-tasking.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow
The Android operating system integrates heavily with Google's services. Using the card-based Google Now, Android quickly surfaces information for you whenever you need it, powered by the same Knowledge Engine that runs Google's web search. It's a personalized and customizable OS, allowing you to add your favorite apps or widgets to your homescreen. You can even download new themes using the Google Play Store, which offers access to more than one million apps, games, books, music, movies, and more. Android 6.0 Marshmallow overhauls permissions, allowing you to have finer control over what your applications have access to. It also marks the debut of Now on Tap, a context-sensitive update to Google Now that checks your current screen for keywords and then searches for them automatically. Other performance and security enhancements are included as well.

Note: Although Android 6.0 Marshmallow is available, this tablet might ship with an earlier version of Android OS pre-installed. In the event it arrives with an earlier version of Android, you will be given the option to upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow upon powering on the device.

    ASUS Z380M reviews

    8" ZenPad 8.0 Z380M 16GB Tablet (Wi-Fi, Dark Gray) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 51.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just an OK tablet I brought this tablet for my wife so that she could watch streaming movies, do some light reading and eventually get comfortable enough with it to take it to church for bible study and not have to carry a bible which is much heavier. It serves the intended purpose. It is a satisfactory product that has a lot of bloatware from Asus added. It takes just a little while longer to connect to my home wi-fi than my other devices (cellphones, Nexus 7). The camera produces pretty grainy pictures. My recommendation would be to purchase this tablet only if you are able to get it at a really inexpensive great price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Improvement from the old zenpad 8 To start with everything is the same as the old zenpad 8 with Intel Atom inside. The new chip is a drastic improvement, scrolling up and down and swiping side to side has no lag. The pad is very responsive. Loading time on apps and games are also shorten from the previous version. And one more thing the battery last longer. I have this for 2 weeks now and I have to complains other than the resolution but that comes with all low price tag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good tablet For the price I needed a new tablet as my old higher end tablet's battery was dying. I also wanted Android 6.0. This is the only tablet I found in stock running it. It is decently fast. The display needs more contrast and better blacks... But for the money, it is a good deal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from first tab and not sure I like the OS I got it as a replacement for a Kindle. The apps are not as easy to use as Kindle. You must be connected to the internet for most things and that is OK and what I expected. The input seems to be a little hard to get used to. I have a hard time with my taps on the screen and I am of normal size and weight so no fat fingers. I hate that most screens do not have a X in the upper right to end the app. I am getting used to the OS so I can tailor some of the functions but still miss what I have on my laptop and this is written on a laptop. I also was disappointed that an out of stock notice was not prominent on the add to cart screen as on the buy screen. I would have ordered it anyway but it just peeves me that it is that way.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So Far So Good. Good Tablet For My Mom. My Mom has had this tablet for about 2 weeks now and is really enjoying it. It's pretty simple to get setup. (I set it up) and she's finding it easy to use. She uses it for surfing the internet, checking emails and playing basic games (solitare, word puzzles etc). No intense gaming or video watching here. The shipping was lightning quick and it was packaged welll. The directions are good and the initial setup isn't a hassle. It's an 8 inch tablet so it's easily held in one hand and it's super bulky. It's lightweight as well. Cons - It comes with a hefty amount of bloatware apps that she will NEVER use and I've told her to stick to the things that I've explained to her how to use but you will notice 20ish apps that may be handy to some but seem like unnecessary to others. Also, the charging cord is way too short. 1 ft longer and it would have been fine or make it a spiral cord so that it stretches but the cord is super short so it's almost impossible to use while charging.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works very well! This tablet seems to work very nicely for light duty browsing and email. The camera does a fine job for snapshots, although I wouldn't carry it around just to take pictures. It is small enough to not be tiring to hold, yet the screen is very crisp and easy to read, so even though the screen is not that large, it still works well without being large and unwieldily. Overall nice package and competent device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get 'em while you can Outstanding value for an excellent tablet. 2GB of RAM makes it fast. Build quality is excellent, with a very nice screen. Some have complained about speakers but no one really listens that way. With a good pair of earbuds the audio quality is superb. Yes, taking the back off to install/replace an SDHC card takes a couple of minutes but unless you do that frequently it isn't a concern. You can transfer files with Bluetooth, or my preference, ES File Explorer Pro which will connect on a network to Windows explorer. $2.99 from Google Play and worth it -- see At $129 with free shipping this is a steal. Some of the Asus apps are actually quite good, like their start-up manager, file manager, and ZenUI interface.
