Hello Aimee, because of the relatively rough surface of concrete, I wouldn't recommend EZ-Stick Pro Tabs. They work well on smooth, finished surfaces like drywall or wood paneling, but for a concrete ceiling I would suggest something stronger, like our liquid adhesive Tubetak Pro.

How many packages would be needed to stick up a 12 pack of 2'x2' 2" pyramid foam? Your description "Each package contains 24 tabs—enough to mount six 2 x 12" or four 2 x 4" Studiofoam panels." makes no sense. I assume there are some typos in it or you switched something around.
The 24 tabs included in the package of Auralex EZ-Stick Pro Mounting Tabs are enough to hang six Auralex Studiofoam Panels. You will need two packages of the EZ-Stick Pro Mounting Tabs to accommodate twelve Studiofoam Pyramid Panels that are each 24 x 24 x 2".

Will these work on plaster walls? What is the weight capacity for a set of 2 or 4?
Yes, this product does work on plaster walls.
The weight capacity depends on the size of the item due to the amount of torque being placed on the adhesive and wall.
An example is a 2" x 24" x 24" piece of StudioFoam, the shear force on the adhesive is quite low because it is being distributed over the 24" square.
There should be no problems using EZ-Stick Pro tabs on any of the StudioProducts from Auralex Acoustics.

No, EZ-Stick Pro Tabs are intended for permanent mounting and will damage wall surfaces. For a temporary mounting solution, you may want to try Auralex TEMP Tabs 72-Pack (B&H # AUTEMPTABKIT) which can be removed and leave a minimal amount of residue on the wall. 3M also offers temporary adhesive mounting strips that may also work. Please be aware that with all mounting options individual results can vary depending on the type of surfaces and the environment in which they will be used.
