The X99-DELUXE II LGA 2011-v3 ATX Motherboard from ASUS is designed to fit in cases that supports the ATX form factor. It support Intel Core i7 processors in the LGA 2011-v3 package and the Intel X99 chipset. This motherboard supports Windows 10 (64-bit), 8.1 (32/64-bit), and 7 (32/64-bit).

The ATX form factor of the X99-DELUXE II has 8 x DIMM slots that can support up to 128GB of non-ECC and unbuffered DDR4 RAM with quad-channel memory architecture. Also supported are Intel Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) memory modules, and the supported memory speeds are 3333 (OC), 3300 (OC), 3200 (OC), 3000 (OC), 2800 (OC), 2666 (OC), 2400 (OC), and 2133 MHz.

The X99-DELUXE II has a total of 8 x SATA III 6 Gb/s ports, 1 x SATA Express port that supports 2 x SATA III 6 Gb/s ports, 1 x M.2 Socket 3 that only supports PCIe SSDs, and 2 x U.2 ports that support PCIe 3.0 x4 NVM Express storage. Internal expansion is accomplished using PCIe slots, and the number of available slots depends on how many lanes your CPU has. A 40-lane CPU has 4 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 slots (runs single at x16, dual at x16/x16, triple at x16/x16/x8, and quintuple at x8/x8/x8/x8/x8), while 28-lane CPUs have 3 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 slots (runs at x16, x16/x8, or x8/x8/x8), 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 slot (x1 mode), 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 slot (max at x4 mode), and 1 x PCIe 2.0 x1 slot.

For connecting USB peripherals, this motherboard is equipped with 4 x USB 3.0/2.0 ports, 6 x USB 2.0/1.1 ports (4 at the back panel), 3 x USB 3.1 Type-A ports (all at the back panel), 1 x USB 3.1 Type-C port (back panel), and 4 x USB 3.0/2.0 ports (all at the back panel). The X99-DELUXE II also supports Thunderbolt 3 using ASUS' ThunderboltEX 3 add-on card, which provides users with bi-directional speeds of up to 40 Gb/s. The X99-DELUXE II does not contain integrated graphics, meaning that users will be free to install a dedicated GPU of their choice. Also supported is NVIDIA Quad-GPU SLI technology, NVIDIA 3-Way SLI technology, AMD Quad-GPU CrossFireX technology, and AMD 3-Way CrossFireX technology. Flexible Cooling Controls for Air and Liquid

Advanced cooling can be controlled from both Fan Xpert 4 and UEFI. The cooling system includes fan connectors, a pump fan, thermal sensors, and a fan Ext header. The water pump header controls PWM or DC water pumps. It provides up to 3 amps for high-speed, high-current fans, and 4-pin PWM/DC fan support with auto-detection.

Fan Extension Card

The Fan Extension Card provides powerful cooling with flexible installation and detailed control. You can plug in up to three extra fans for a maximum of nine fans (including two CPU fans and seven case fans), each with independent control from either UEFI BIOS or AI Suite 3. Each fan can be up to 12W.

Hyper M.2 x4 Mini Card

ThunderboltEX 3 Card

Thunderbolt 3 supports daisy-chaining up to six devices, utilizes a Type-C reversible connector for compatibility with the USB 3.1 Type-C devices, and supports the USB power delivery specification for fast, high-power charging of up to 36W.

UEFI BIOS

The updated UEFI BIOS features the EZ Flash 3 mode to update the latest BIOS via the internet and from within the BIOS. The S.M.A.R.T mode lets you check up your storage devices' Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T) logs to gauge reliability, and to determine if they're about to fail. EZ Tuning Wizard - OC and RAID mode allows you to select your hardware and apply different scenarios to tune system performance, or streamline your RAID configuration for faster data retrieval and backups.
