    Glyph Technologies BBPR3000 reviews

3TB Blackbox Pro 7200 rpm USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C External Hard Drive is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Gear After buying 4 of the 2TB 7200 RPM units for a recent shoot, I gifted a 3TB to my DP. I also own a Glyph mini Studio RAID. Why? These units are solid. The warranty is outstanding. It's not the same sort of mass produced inconsistency you find with other Drive Manufacturers. I love the use of metal casing and the throwback approach to design. These units are built for work, not school kids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Traded up I bought a WD passport 4t and after backing up 500gb of hard drive, it would no longer mount. Scary. Tech support was incomprehensible, but my buddies at b and h expedited the 3t glyph to me after they received my return package. This unit is rugged, smooth, and powered. Very low noise, and fast! Pro grade all the way, although a little larger than some for practical field use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Minimal noise, but isn't Silent First of all, this drive is a LOT bigger than I expected. Definitely not for field use in a small setup. That said, it suites my needs perfectly as I bought it as a desktop drive. My copy ran at speeds of 200MB/s reading and writing. Like other reviewer's noticed, it is a little noisy when running, but I don't think it's bad for a production drive. I would recommend this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very nice drive I have had this drive for a short period of time so I will confine my comments to performance so far. This is a very quiet drive and ruggedly built. I have had no technical issues. That said it comes with reasonable and generous protections from the manufacturer. Yes I would recommend it and I wish all my drives were this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality! Great thing! I bought it to work with Final Cut. Doing a lots of editing! Works great, very quiet! It is fast, as advertised! Just to be aware, that it is works only with power adapter. But no problem for me, any hotel room has table with outlets!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from External Hard drive Great backup disc. I use it to back up my entire computer. I t is fast. Some people backup continually. I do it as needed. Easy to use. Very rugged. Not the one I carry int he field as it is too bulky and heavy although fine for use at home.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped responding in less than a day Ordered this drive for backup of video content. When it arrived I formatted it for Windows and started transferring content - got good speeds, but halfway through the transfer it disappeared from Windows. I checked the disk manager and it didnt even show up there. The HDD was still powered, but for whatever reason it had stopped communicating with the computer. Powering off multiple times did nothing. Not worth the price - especially when you can find better HDDs for less money elsewhere.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ok drive - though ran hot for me but the biggest issue is support. This is the first time I had a drive fail and instead of swapping it out (under warranty) I was told to buy software $135 and then it didn't work.
