Gain remote control access to devices and appliances in your home using the Starter Kit with Hub and 2 On/Off Modules from INSTEON. This kit is comprised of a Hub Central Controller, two On/Off Modules, an Ethernet cable, and a power cable. Once you have plugged the On/Off module into a standard outlet you can plug any lamp, heater, fan, or other small device into the module for network connectivity. The device can then be controlled from other INSTEON wall switches, keypads, or sensors, and it can also be managed from your iOS or Android mobile device when used with the included Hub.

Insteon 2245-222 Hub Central Controller (Version 2)

The version 2 INSTEON 2245-222 Hub Central Controller allows you to wirelessly control various INSTEON connected devices in your home, even from remote locations. This device features Ethernet connectivity for interfacing with your home network. The INSTEON Hub features RF communication, and can communicate with your other devices up to 250' away. Once connected, you can download the free INSTEON control app for setting-up and controlling your connected devices from a smartphone, tablet, or even the Apple Watch. The app can be found in the Google Play, Apple, Amazon, and Windows app stores.

The INSTEON Hub supports a variety of INSTEON home automation devices including sensors, thermostats, LED bulbs, dimmer modules, and more. Once your system is configured, there are no monthly service fees or contract agreements required for operation. At just 1.5" high and 3.75", the INSTEON Hub features a compact form factor for easy placement.

Installation is designed to be simple and straightforward.

Control Thermostats, Monitor Cameras, and Check Sensors

The INSTEON Hub supports sold separately devices such as thermostats, cameras, and sensors. Using these add-on devices, you can control temperature levels remotely, monitor your connected cameras, and check sensors for open doors/windows, motion, water leaks, and smoke.

Instant Notification

When adding optional devices, such as sensors, you can create alerts. The INSTEON Hub will send push notifications and email alerts to you as well as anyone else you specify. You can quickly check in on your home with your smartphone or tablet and ensure that every door and window is closed.

Create Schedules and Scenes

With just a few taps, you can schedule your INSTEON devices to turn on and off at sunrise, sunset, or any time during the day. Using optional INSTEON products such as dimmer modules you can build home automation scenes.

Control via the Optional Apple Watch

With the INSTEON App on the Apple Watch, you can control your INSTEON connected devices with your watch, from remote locations.

Optional IP Wi-Fi Security Camera

Add an optional IP wireless camera to your INSTEON network and you can conveniently monitor it from your smartphone. The INSTEON camera features pan/tilt control and night vision.

Insteon Dual Band On/Off Module

The Insteon Dual Band On/Off Module allows you to remotely control and schedule non-dimming devices like lamps (including most compact fluorescent and LED lamps), desk fans, space heaters, and even lava lamps.

The on/off module is plugged into a wall outlet and the non-dimming device is plugged into it, enabling the module to act as a remote-control switch for anything connected. And, when used with the Insteon Hub (available separately), you can remotely control the module from your smartphone or tablet, and even schedule it for sunrise, sunset, or any time in between.

The Insteon Hub (available separately) is a central controller—a device that connects you to your home from any smartphone or tablet anywhere in the world via the Insteon app. You can control Insteon light bulbs, wall switches, outlets, and thermostats at home or remotely, and receive instant email or text message alerts from motion, door and window, water leak, and smoke sensors while you're away.
