Moto XT1625 overview

  • 1Description

Experience the next generation of dynamic handheld performance with the white 4th Gen. Moto G XT1625 from Motorola. This smartphone is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor and 2GB of dedicated RAM. It comes equipped with 32GB of storage and includes a microSD slot that supports microSDXC cards with up to 128GB of memory for additional storage capacity. The integrated micro-USB interface allows you to connect the device for mass-storage purposes and also serves as a charging port.

The Moto G houses a 5.5" LCD touchscreen display, which features a 1920 x 1080 resolution that fully supports all your HD content. For your photo and video needs, the Moto G features two powerful cameras: a rear-facing 13MP camera with auto-focus, color balancing dual-LED flash, auto HDR, 1080p video capture, and several other enhancements built-in; and a front-facing 5MP wide-angle camera.

The Moto G is also well-equipped for wireless communication. It features Bluetooth 4.1 + LE (Smart Ready) technology for pairing with other Bluetooth-enabled devices, and 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi for high-speed Internet connectivity. GPS with GLONASS is also on-board for using compatible location services and applications. The Moto G's 3000mAh battery is designed to provide "All Day" mixed usage on a full charge, and thanks to TurboPower technology, it can provide up to 6 hours of power from only 15 minutes of charging.

Note: The XT1625 is the North American Variant of the Moto G. It will run on any GSM network that uses cell frequencies supported by the device, including AT&T and T-Mobile. It will also work with certain CDMA carriers, such as Verizon and Sprint. Current Verizon SIM cards can be transferred to the new device, though the carrier may limit the purchase of new SIM cards for unlocked phones. Since this device is unlocked, functionality for certain carrier-specific features cannot be guaranteed. Please confirm with your carrier that it supports the Moto G before purchasing.

GSM + CDMA / 4G LTE Wireless Connectivity
This phone is designed to work on select GSM and CDMA networks and is 4G LTE capable. LTE is an advanced cellular network data protocol capable of data speeds so fast that they compete with wired broadband Internet providers. With an LTE connection, this phone should have no problem streaming HD video, downloading apps, uploading photos, or anything else that requires a high-speed data connection. The phone is also backwards compatible with 3G and 2G data for instances when you can't get LTE. In addition to cellular wireless, this phone also features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
North American Variant / US Compatible LTE
The XT1625 is a US variant of the Moto G. The XT1625's LTE radio is tuned to frequencies that are most often used in the United States and North America. It can also be used in other parts of the world; however, LTE access may be limited or unsupported, depending on the network. To ensure this phone will work with your carrier please check to make sure the frequencies your carrier uses are supported by this phone. The full list of compatible carrier frequencies can be found herefrxwrzarqtqutaqrsdwvdyyxqxfetsasduxdw, the frequencies this phone supports can be found in the product specs.
All-Day Battery and TurboPower Technology
The Moto G is designed to last a full day and then some. With a 3000mAh battery, you can go about your day and not worry about battery life. Go to school or work, visit with friends, and then head out for the evening - you'll still have enough juice to get home. Plus, the Moto G is equipped with TurboPower technology, which is designed to give you 6 hours of usage after just 15 minutes of charging.
Water Repellant
Advanced nano-coating technology creates a water repellent barrier to help protect against moderate exposure to water, such as accidental spills, splashes, or light rain.
Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow
The Android operating system integrates heavily with Google's services. Using the card-based Google Now, Android quickly surfaces information for you whenever you need it, powered by the same Knowledge Engine that runs Google's web search. It's a personalized and customizable OS, allowing you to add your favorite apps or widgets to your homescreen. You can even download new themes using the Google Play Store, which offers access to more than one million apps, games, books, music, movies, and more. Android 6.0 Marshmallow overhauls permissions, allowing you to have finer control over what your applications have access to. It also marks the debut of Now on Tap, a context-sensitive update to Google Now that checks your current screen for keywords and then searches for them automatically. Other performance and security enhancements are included as well.

Moto XT1625 reviews

Moto G XT1625 4th Gen. 32GB Smartphone (Unlocked, White) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 164.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great phone at an unbeatable price If you don't want to go broke on the latest high end Samsung or Apple, it is really worth considering the G4. We purchased one for the family and based on the first, we wound up buying two more. Switching from our old smartphones was simple - just switch the SIM cards. My service is on Verizon and the phone functions flawlessly. I was even able to activate HD voice (Voice over LTE). And, if you're wondering, the phone works fine with Pokemon Go. When I show this phone to friends, they can't believe how inexpensive it was! My one reservation: the case is a little delicate. If you're tough on your phone, order an optional protective case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great phone for the price I was looking for a budget phone and found very good reviews of the Moto G4. Even though it is a 2016 phone, the specs are still very good in 2017 and for a little more money I got the 32 GB version instead of 16 GB. Then I added a 64 GB SD card I already had, so now I have tons of storage space. The phone updated itself to Nougat pretty quickly, plus a few Moto updates. Everything has been working great and I'm very happy with the phone. B&H had the best price going and got it shipped very quickly, arriving in great shape. It would have been good to upgrade to the Plus and get the fingerprint reader, but it was more expensive and was only 16 GB. Maybe next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Motorola Delivers! My husband & I had Moto G (1st gen) phones, however, storage was becoming an issue. Research from CNET suggested that this phone would best suit our needs. A B&H rep was most thorough in answering all of our questions. As Verizon Wireless Prepaid customers, we were incredulous to find that the My Verizon app does not work. A Verizon Wireless rep told us that, since we chose to buy unlocked phones (AKA...not spend hundreds of $$$), Verizon would not guarantee that all functions work properly. As access to My Verizon account via internet DOES work, it's not an issue. Love the ease with which photos are uploaded from my camera via bluetooth. Recommend Case Mate covers &SPARIN 2 Pack Moto G4 Screen Protector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really nice unit, price was great at the time, works fine Bought this as a back up cell phone and a media player... after reading about the cheaper ones on the market I decided to upgrade a little for this, large clear screen.. I added a 64 gb memory card .... Overall it is a really nice unit, I have not added a SIM yet just using in ti wifi and as a media player for now. I have a plan with Verizon it would be interesting to change my sim from that Samsung to this one and see how it performs. Overall, I'm pleased with the unit so far.... Of course like all other electronics just after buying this one Motorola comes out with a Moto 5 until ...it never ends...buy it today, it's out dated tomorrow!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is one cool phone I was very skeptical about purchasing this phone because I though how can it be any good when all the big names cost upwards of $600. This phone handles everything I've thrown at it and breezed through it. It has some really innovated features that make it a joy to use. I have not found anything that I don't like it really is a good deal for the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Phone I bought this phone because I wanted a device that does it's core functions well and does not break the bank. This phone does it well. I would definitely recommend this phone. If I would do anything different, it would be to get the high end option. It's just 50 dollars more but has more memory and RAM. (Some additional features) but what I mentioned what I deem important.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value at Sale Price Pros: The phone was easy to upgrade to Android V.7 along with the other security updates (but takes awhile). Little or no bloatware. Screen images are vibrant. Very fast at charging. Fast shipping. Works well with Republic Wireless GSM Sim. Recommend you do all the android updates before installing your sim card. Cons: A little heavier and thicker compared our previous LG with similar specs - but not a major issue. The volume control is on right middle side, which makes it very difficult to access if you purchase a rugged holster-type clip cover. Allows screen shots, but have to hold the power and volume button at same time, which is a (small) hassle. To show battery percentage always, must activate IE Tuner (already on phone - see Moto site for info) which is in beta stage.
