The ANSER by Littlite may look familiar but some unique features were included to make the ANSER the more powerful, versatile and energy-efficient compact task light. The ANSER uses a single, warm LED-coupled with the advanced CC (Constant Current) dimming circuitry and it is packed it in an outstanding lineal (end-out) gooseneck configuration. The result? I didn't realize that the lamp I ordered did *not* come with a base. Luckily I had one on hand from another installation but it is a bit small. Good spot size for lighting up parts on a circuit board, smooth dimmer. Gooseneck assembly is tight and holds lamp in whatever position you set. Just be sure to order the part you need for the appropriate installation. Mine was for a panel but based on the picture I thought I was getting a part with a base for tabletop use.
