Does this lens hood work with the Canon RF ...
Does this lens hood work with the Canon RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 STM lens? The Canon version hood is an EW-73D, but the description doesn't mention compatibility for the RF lens.
I ordered this hood and can confirm it does NOT fit the RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM. What's worse is when I tried reversing it, it would not come off. I had to undo the screws on the cover.

I tried to reverse the hood on a Canon EF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens and it will not lock in?
I'm sure you've probably got it by now but here goes... Place the inverted (reversed) EW73D hood over the lens with the VELLO name & # in the 12 o'clock position. Give it a little wiggle and you will feel it 'slot' in place. Then rotate the hood to the left (with the lens facing forward) 90 degrees. The red key icon & the lock tab should be on the top (12 o'clock) & it will lock, you will hear the click. I find the lock to be a good feature but it is a bit of a hassle if you forget it's not a Canon hood and try to quickly remove it.
