Olympus RS-27H Overview

The RS-27H 3-Button Footswitch with Keyboard Function from Olympus is a suitable for dictation and transcription systems. This HID footswitch has two operation modes: one that supports the ODMS software, and a second mode that supports standard USB keyboard operation. A free downloadable application, the Olympus Footswitch Configuration Tool, enables users to program the footswitch so it can alternate between the two operation modes.

Yes it is. The RS-27H is compatible with HID keyboards. It can be configured for use with third-party software by using Olympus free Configuration Tool (Download for Windows | Download for Mac), which enables users to program the RS-27H to alternate between the two operation modes. The tool also allows users to program footswitch pedals to mimic functions handled by keyboard shortcut keys/hot keys in third-party software.
