MSI 6QL Overview

Take creativity and collaboration almost anywhere with the 17.3" WT72 Mobile Workstation from MSI. This system has been built with components that will help to reduce downtime and limit IT disruptions, while also providing greater reliability with built-in security and remote management capabilities. The system is powered by a 2.8 GHz Intel Xeon E3-1505M v5 Quad-Core processor which will allow you to run multiple applications simultaneously. The processor also features a burst speed of up to 3.7 GHz and the built-in 32GB of 2133 MHz DDR4 RAM allows the computer to quickly access frequently-used files and programs.

The 17.3" IPS Wide View Angle Anti-Glare display has a native Full HD 1920 x 1080 screen resolution, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and is built on True Color technology. The system's display is powered by a dedicated NVIDIA Quadro M4000M graphics card and 4GB of GDDR5 RAM, and you can output video to an external display using its HDMI 1.4 or Mini DisplayPort outputs. Additionally, the system's Thunderbolt 3 port also supports the DisplayPort 1.2 output protocol. The WT72 will support up to three simultaneous external displays.

For long term storage of your files, the WT72 has a 128GB PCIe Gen 3.0 x4 SSD and a 1TB 7200 rpm SATA hard drive. The 128GB SSDs use NVMe technology and while it does not have the larger capacity of the 1TB hard drive, it contains no moving parts and is able to operate with faster data transfer speeds. Having no moving parts also helps the SSD be better-protected against damage from drops and bumps. Additionally, the drive will receive less wear and tear, as there are no read or write heads for the drive media to come into contact with. All in all, this system has 1.128TB of storage.

If you want to add external storage drives, external optical drives, media card readers, or other external peripherals, the WT72 features six USB 3.0 Type-A ports and one USB 3.1 Type-C port. The system also has a SuperMulti DVD Burner, 3-in-1 SD card reader that supports SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, a 1080p webcam, an integrated mic, and dual integrated 3W speakers with a subwoofer, both powered by Nahimic audio.

So you can get started right out of the box, a 230W AC adapter and a power cord are included. The installed operating system is Windows 10 Pro (64-bit).
