Legs are (almost) proprietary

I ordered this shoulder and three third-party monopods thinking I can build a flatpack tripod. BIG MISTAKE. The 1/4-20 threads are nested very deep inside the leg socket. No monopod will have 1/4-20 screws long enough to reach in there. The workaround would be thread extenders but that would make the interface rather filmsy. Meant to be used with their proprietary legs only I guess.
