    Logitech M510 reviews

M510 Wireless Mouse (Blue) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 125.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Performing Wireless Mouse I have been seeking a fully-featured wireless mouse for the past two weeks and have finally found my optimum choice in the Logitech Wireless Mouse M510. The attributes I sought out included the following: 1) Full-size and ergonomic shape. I have fairly large hands, so most notebook mice cannot provide a sufficiently comfortable experience for long periods of usage time. 2) High battery endurance. I prefer a wireless mouse that minimizes battery replacement to improve overall convenience and reduce my dead battery collection. 3) Laser technology. A setting of at least 1200 dpi is necessary to track subtle movements, which are particularly important for graphical applications (i.e. solid modeling and photo editing software). Laser technology also allows for usage on most surfaces. 4) Inconspicuous wireless transmitter. I find great appeal in a low profile wireless transmitter, as it saves the user from having to remove the device from a notebook during travel. While many other competing products from Logitech offer appealing features such as hyper scrolling and any-surface tracking a la Darkfield, they each carry their own weaknesses as well. For example, I considered various notebook-class mice, including the Anywhere MX and the Marathon M705, yet as a person with fairly large hands, I determined that they were simply not large enough to use comfortably.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bang for your buck This is a great wireless mouse for less than $ bucks. I mostly use it for general desktop applications. no gaming whatsoever so far. I use it on my Macbook Pro computer and have had no issues with it. I still need to figure out how to configure the side buttons on it as they seem to not recognize the 'previous' and 'next' presets that I assume would work well with Windows. Other than that, the material is OK, it looks and feels nice. However, maybe it's just me but I do feel like my hand gets sweaty when I use it and this does not happen with other mice. This probably has to do with the type of plastic that is used. The grip on the sides is a nice addition.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great low cost mouse I had a small logitec mouse that I really like, but I decided that I needed a full size mouse and use the small for travels. This fits perfectly. This mouse feels very comfortable on my hands, it also has back and forward buttons on the left side that are very accessible to the thumb. The wheel is not as smooth as my old small mouse, I like to scroll very fast when navigating on websites with long pages or long documents, but the wheel on this one does not allow this, it is more 'sticky' when scrolling. Overall, this is a great mouse for its price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable Mouse I have an iMac, and the software on Logitech's website is compatible with OS X. My favorite feature is being able to use the wheel button to open all windows in expose This is extremely comfortable and ergonomic. It's much better than the magic mouse that came with my computer (that thing is more like a work of art than anything). I like the fact that it is a full-size mouse. A lot of the Logitech mice out there are much smaller and more meant for portability. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to replace/upgrade their mouse!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a charm; buy it, buy two I own two M510's. I use a laptop as my main, and only computer. One M510 stays at my desk; the other is always in my laptop carry bag (so I can't forget to take it). A single Unifying Receiver is always plugged into my laptop, and a spare (only because the second M510 came with one and I didn't need it for my application) is carried inside the M510 (in the M510's battery compartment) in my laptop bag. The Unifying Receiver subset of Logitech's SetPoint software makes it easy to assign both mice to the same receiver. Ergonomics, design, and operation of the M510 are excellent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy, good feeling mouse for big hands I have too many cords as it is so I decided to bite the bullet and get a wireless mouse. I've used this brands before and was not dissappointed and I wasn't dissappointed with this one either. I hanve bif hands and was happy it fit my hands well. Its responsivness is good even on a white terrycloth towel I have in my table. Getting it to work was as easy as plugging in the little wireless adapter to one of my rear USB ports and pulling the plastic sheet out of the battery compartment. It's easy to clean too as it's fairly smooth. I like the side buttons since they're not in a spot where it's easy to accidently hit them. I haven't had it long enough to judge the battery life which is an important issue, but it is working fine so far with the factory supplied ones. Time will tell. The mouse wheel is solid feeling and smooth but could be bigger.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 3 Weeks My older Logitech mouse is still working after 6 or 7 years, and rarely needed new batteries. This one lasted about 3 weeks before it started acting up and then quit altogether. At first I thought it was the receiver or the USB port on my new laptop. Trying a different port didn't help so I tried a different computer. Same problems. Finally I tried the receiver with my old mouse and it works fine. This would be a great mouse if it worked. Feels good in the hand. Not too big or small. I expected more out of a Logitech product.
