Plastic v-lock, poor lockup

The v-lock socket thing on this is plastic and the little retaining lock is super flimsy. On my 12k it's easy to push the battery in a way that kills power to the camera. I like that it keeps powering the d-tap during when you turn the camera off, but the plate is garbage compared the the IDX one I've been using forever. You're better off finding one of those or with the blackmagic one IMO. Waste of $100.

For whatever reason Blackmagic designed their camera and plate to trigger a power reset when switching between rec/playback. This has caused some major problems for me on set when trying to power accessories through the d-tap port, I would switch between the two at the directors request and suddenly my follow focus and transmitter were off and I didn't understand why. Fortunately IndiPRO's plate solves this! Due to it's design the d-tap gets power directly from the battery, so no power shut offs. Now I can power all my accessories through a d-tap splitter and not worry about a thing. I can definitely recommend this to any Ursa Mini/Pro owners out there who are experiencing the same issues I was!
