Dedolight DP1.1 Overview

Used as a focusing snoot, the Dedolight Projection Attachment creates an area of light with either a soft or hard edge. It is supplied with an 85mm f/2.8 lens. An adjustable 18-leaf iris diaphragm, 60, 150 and 185mm lenses are also available separately.

Offers great versatility with a spring-loaded accessory slot that accepts a wide variety of optional accessories
An optional adjustable 18-leaf iris diaphragm allows the light to be focused in a tighter circle than is possible with the Projection Attachment alone.
A slide holder which will hold conventionally mounted 35mm slides is available. This allows the slide to be projected onto a set or background. (A Heat Filter should be used to prolong the life of the slide.)
An available gobo holder holds metal patterns or gobos that allow light to pass through, forming a pattern on a set or background.

We film miniature toys, and you can get a laser focus as small as a pinky fingernail. Highly recommend for precise lighting!

Great for compact travelling!

This is great for interviews and small space lighting. If you're travelling light, this attachment will replace your bulky gobo and extra lamp. Solid build should last a lifetime if taken care of.

question

Does this work with elinchrom lights?
Asked by: Philip D.
No, the Dedolight Projection Attachment with 85mm f/2.8 Lens is not compatible for use with Elinchrom light fixtures. While not identical, the Elinchrom Zoom Spot Attachment, B&H # ELZSAQ, would be a similar item that works with all Elinchrom monolight fixtures and may also use gobos. It allows you to focus the light, but it will have a hard edge to the light.

I would like to find something exactly like this ...

I would like to find something exactly like this projector for my elinchrom lights. Most importantly the ability to use metal leaves to control the light projection. Can anyone recommend something with similar features for elinchrom studio strobes? I see Westcott make an "optical spot" modifier. Is this the only option available for elinchrom?
Asked by: Matthew
The Westcott Optical Spot by Lindsay Adler for Elinchrom, BH # WEOSLAELNCRM would be the only projection attachment currently offered to fit an Elinchrom head. https://bhpho.to/3mKC2Km

I would like to find a similar projector to fit elinchrom 600w studio lights. Ideally with optional metal leaves to control the area to be lighted. Does anyone have any recommendations?

question

Dear All, how close to the back ground wall can it be placed? Thanks
Asked by: Guy M.
How close this lens can be placed in relation to a background wall would be dependent on the type of lighting being used. For example, if this lens was used with one of the Dedolight DLH4 Tungsten Lights, that would produce a greater amount of heat versus using the lens with a Dedolight DLED4.1 LED Light.
