The drive head in the unit I received makes very loud clicking sounds when performing read/write operations. It's much louder than the various other HDDs I have on hand. It otherwise works fine. Is this noise common for the drive?

The Exos enterprise drives with 1/2 the failure ...

The Exos enterprise drives with 1/2 the failure rate and longest warranty are less expensive than the Ironwolf and Ironwolf Pro versions. How does that make any sense?

The Exos is a enterprise grade drive meant for 24/7 Data centers. The Ironwolf is designed for NAS use. Pricing is dependent on many factors and can change independent of other models.
