The SLR Magic Cine 35mm f/1.2 Lens for Sony E-Mount supports cine-style shooting on Sony E-Mount cameras. It weighs in at around a pound and covers full-frame sensors with a fast f/1.2 maximum aperture for shallow depth of field. It features geared focus and aperture rings, a clickless iris that allows smooth aperture pulls, and a 13-bladed iris for a rounded aperture and pleasing bokeh.

The lens is suitable for portrait, interiors, architectural, and landscape cinematography and photography. The front of the lens does not rotate as you focus the lens; this allows you to use optional polarizing filters, or accessories such as clip-on matte boxes. It incorporates a 52mm filter thread diameter for using a variety of readily available optional lens accessories.

The lens covers full-frame sensors with a 35mm focal length.
The clickless iris allows you to smoothly adjust your exposure during the shot.
Built-in iris and focus gears follow industry standards, allowing you to work with optional follow focus units and lens gear motors.

Cine 35mm f/1.2 FE Lens for Sony E-Mount is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from brilliant lens simply amazing. although compare to 55 1.8, not as Sharp. But I really enjoy the cinematic rendering, it is what art looks like. wiyh all the f1.2ness, background is amazingly blured. with the focus peaking on the a7ii , focusing is so easy and satisfied. I was so afraid when I pull the trigger since my last experience with rokinon 16mm manual wasn't so great, and slr magic is a unknown Hong Kong Brand. I think I will do a full review on this lens and upload on YouTube so more people will give this new company a shot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lovely compact lens - sharp enough for portraiture So this lens is a lovely manual focus addition to the FE mount stable. - Pros - Great for wider portraiture (a few people). Capturing life. By life I mean my newborn who doesn't move that much and my 3 year old who makes up for it as a hurricane of movement. There is a lovely, creamy falloff. I'm a big fan of SLR magic. I'm not a pixel peeper. There will be chromatic aberration and shooting at f1.2 has it's own difficulties but if you like wide open and are looking for a light alternative to the sony/zeiss monsters, this is the one. I have a Zongyi Mitakon 50mm f.95 and that is a chromatic aberration beast, but I still love it - it has that magic. All that just to give you where I stand on certain issues re: image quality. - Small, trivial, cons - Construction is solid without being too heavy. My previous f1.4 lens would beheavy enough for the camera to rest on no problem. This one the camera is tilted forward when I put it on the table. Not a huge deal but something to mention. The 1.2 perhaps is really a T1.4 or so but the bokeh is f1.2 level. The ratio of the focal opening makes sure that you definitely have a creamier and shallower depth of field than a f1.4 lens, though the light transmission, perhaps isn't a true T1.2.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice thing! pros: very solid construction, size not too small not too big, good to hand, ,lovely bokeh,no distorsion, no vignetting, no problem with flare, very very good price (vs voigtlander nokton II 35 1.2+ you need adapted leica M to E mount,,another 35mm 1.2 FF only Kerlee-bigger, bad flare, price) cons: 1.2 not too sharp-of course, 1.4 better... Somehing confusing on this lens: different between 1.2 and 1.4 in depth of field is almost zero(?!), I am not sure what does it mean- if 1.4 is not good marked on lens, or is it not 1.2 lens or what? dont know...?...! But I recommen it, love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good deal Before bought this lens, I tried to review as much as I can online. Try to find some decent reviews or insights, unfortunately there is not lots of reviews of this lens. Only couple but still focus on the video capability. I bought it for my new A7RIII. First of all, it's a manual lens, forgot about the AF. But it's a really fast one, low light capability is crazy, 1.2!!! I found the sharpness is not bad at all when use 1.8 to 2.8. And of course the creamy bokeh! Price lower than $300 and with a 1.2 A, it cannot be a good deal. I believe this will be a great lens for the photographers who would like to try the large aperture but don't want to spent all their money on just one lens. It definitely won't be an ideal lens for work, but I guarantee there will be tons of fun with this little piece of glasses. This will give you more capability to expand your creativity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Satisfied I was looking for a while for a fast, wide angle prime for my Sony a7rii. I couldn't be happier with this lens. I normally shoot manual anyways so the lack of auto focus is not an issue to me. I like the size of the lens and the weight feels good on my camera. I really like how sharp the images come out, and the bokeh is really nice and creamy looking. Fantastic lens for the price. 10/10 would recommend!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for. The lens is nice, has a heavy feel to it. It is not the sharpest lens however depending on the situation. When focuses at infinity, it is barely sharp at all. There is also a lot of vignetting, a little too much. The lens does not go down to 1.2. It looks the same as 1.4 or 1.8. I use it strictly for shooting videos. Overall good, it gives nice results, but I will be upgrading one day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lens I love this compact, super fast, cine prime. It does everything I ask of it. Renders well in both 1080 and 4k. Gears work extremely well with the redrock micro remote follow focus. Small enough to put on the ronin-m with the fs5. Flaring is pleasant and out of focus areas are very smooth and round. I now have the full set of these full frame cine primes. I hope they release more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and compact 35mm 35mm are very often bulky and heavy especially those with fast aperture. The SLR Magic is quite compact and has fantastic aperture for low light situations and creamy bokeh. Including full video gears. A great buy.
