Gripper Series Gripper Series GR Reviews

A great addition but...

I’m pretty darn happy with my purchase - the battery does just what I need it to do and has the added functions of being a rigged for the 15mm rails and a solid counterweight on my rig. The ONLY gripe I have is there there is no Off Button (perhaps there is and I never found it) because I just hate having to unplug everything between set ups. I nice switch the clocks when you press it would make this a full fledged 5 Stare knock out.

Love it!

One of the best investments I've bought. One battery to rule them all, no longer do I have to worry about charging multiple batteries. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to just leave their camera ON without having to worry about turning it OFF and also being able to power more things too.

question

With the Gripper, what cable do I need to get this to Power Canon Cinema EOS C300 Mark II?
Asked by: Robert
Switronix makes a special D-Tap to LEMO Power Cable specifically for the C300 Mark II. You could try using this cable to power the C300 Mark II with the GR-100 Clip-on Battery.

How long will the GR-100 power the Atomos Shogun Flame and a wireless follow focus like the RT Motion?
Asked by: Shun
Exact times are not known for this unreported combination and can only be determined after testing. However, our opinion would be that 3-4 hours would be likely.

This is a 100 Wh battery and the C200 has a typical power consumption of 19.3 Watts while recording. You should expect to get around 5 hours of recording time with this battery.

question

What cable will I need to buy to make this gripper battery work with the Sony FS7?
Asked by: Andre
I would not use this for that application! Stay with the Sony batteries. This is great for a 2nd rig (A7-monitor). FS7 needs their battery. And you really should buy the Sony XDCA-FS7 extension mount so you get time-code and all of the other goodies..
