The Adjustable Twin Shoe Umbrella Bracket with 32" Convertible White Umbrella Kit was put together by B&H for photographers who want to travel light and maximize the use of two shoe-mount flashes off-camera. The kit includes a Twin Shoe Long Umbrella Bracket that will accept shafts up to 8mm and 5/8" light stands. The 15" T-Bar offers ample room for movement of the two flash shoes to fill modifiers like the included umbrella. The white umbrella has a removable black backing that allows you to bounce light off it or shoot light through it like a softbox.
The Adjustable Twin Shoe Umbrella Bracket from Impact is a convenient accessory that allows you to double your flash or LED light's power. The LB-230L's T-Shaped aluminum bar has 2 insulated flash shoes connected to locking knobs that allow lateral movement of each flash along two channels in the bar.
The 5/8" stand mount tilts 180 degrees and has an umbrella receptacle for standard 7-8 mm umbrella shafts. At 15" the LB-230L is long enough for 2 flash units or shoe mount LED lights of approximately 6" in width each. To add additional lights please see Impact# LB-430L which has 4 shoes. The LB-230L can also be attached to a tripod via an included reversible spigot with 1/4"-20 and 3/8-16" female threads.
This is an Impact 32" white satin umbrella with removable black backing. Umbrellas soften, broaden, and diminish the light output of any flash light source. Umbrellas with a white interior will soften and weaken light more than an umbrella with a silver lining. A white umbrella without a black backing may also be used as a makeshift softbox, although the use of the light will not be as efficient as with a softbox.
Choosing umbrella size is determined by the size of the subject, and the strength of the light supply being used. Choosing an umbrella surface is as subjective as choosing a paint and brush.
This size is perfect for a 1 - 2 person head shot, or a 2x3 ft product setup.
