Sachtler Video 18 S2 Fluid Head & Speed Lock CF Dual-Stage Tripod System

Able to handle DSLR setups weighing four pounds up to ENG and digital cinema cameras weighing 48.5 pounds, the Sachtler Video 18 S2 Fluid Head can fit into a wide range of video productions. Sixteen steps of counterbalance and seven steps of pan and tilt drag, along with locks for each axis, let you easily customize the response of the Video 18 S2 to fit your application, be it studio or field production.

The top of the Video 18 S2 head is dominated by a sliding balance platform that accepts Sachtler's convenient Touch & Go quick release camera plate. Once the plate is secured, the entire platform adjusts to balance your camera setup. At the front of the platform, parking spaces for 1/4"-20, 3/8"-16, and registration pin screws are available for when they are not being used. Both sides of the head feature rosette mounts for pan handles. A right-side pan handle is included with the Video 18 S2. The base of the head terminates in a 100mm bowl mount for coupling with industry-standard tripods, jibs, sliders, or other grip equipment that feature 100mm bowls.

It takes just three quick movements and the Speed Lock CF is ready for action - and users don't even have to bend over! The patented clamping system lets you adjust the tripod smoothly and safely, even with a camera mounted. The Speed Lock CF's carbon fiber construction ensures minimal load-free weight, and increases stability and twist resistance. On top of that, the clamping connection forms a third tube to further increase stability. The ergonomically shaped, high-tech clamps have a rounded design, which ensures that cables slide off without catching. In addition, you can tell at a glance whether the legs are clamped into position. The Speed Lock CF weighs less than 3 kg / 6.6 lb, only a couple of hundred grams more than the ENG 2 CF, highly favored by camera crews all over the world. And of course, it's compatible with all existing 100-mm accessories.

This Mid-Level Spreader for Select 100/150mm Tripod Legs from Sachtler fits all 100 and 150mm bowls except for flowtech, DA 100 K, DA 150 K, and Cine tripods. It is used when shooting on uneven surfaces such as steps, rocky ground, or slopes. It allows for rapid setup and pulldown by keeping tripod legs at an equal or preset distance relative to each other. It attaches to the center bracket of a tripod and its arms are telescopic to allow for the extension of a tripod leg without detaching the spreader.

The Sachtler SpeedLevel Clamp for 100mm Fluid Heads is innovatively designed with squeeze handles that let you more accurately and easily level your fluid head. Instead of the traditional twisting and untwisting, the SpeedLevel Clamp loosens the head position when you squeeze the handles and sets the head in place the moment you release the squeeze. The SpeedLevel Clamp is compatible with all Sachtler 100mm heads and supports a maximum weight of 55 lb.

The Sachtler ENG 2 Padded Bag is a soft tripod bag designed to carry various Sachtler tripods with fluid heads up to 35" long. The case is made from water-resistant Cordura nylon and can be carried by the interlocking handles or the attached, adjustable shoulder strap.
