The Krush from Hotone is a pedal intended for electric guitars which provides the sound of digital downsampling. It features three separate downsampling modes: radio simulator, neutral mode, and vintage phonograph simulator, which are accessible by a toggle switch in the middle of the pedal. Each mode provides its own musical take on downgrading the sample rate and resolution of your guitar tone, giving you interesting tonal options, such as the ability to emulate computerized chips/chirps or old-fashioned modem-connecting noise, to name a couple.
A bit resolution knob allows you to go all the way from 5 to 16 bits, while a sample rate knob enables you to downgrade from 44.1 kHz all the way down to 750 Hz. A blend knob permits you to mix the effected signal into your dry guitar tone, while a true bypass switch lets you turn the effect on and off.
