The BCLS-23 (1640') by Kramer is a high-performance Cat 6 F/UTP cable for IT, LAN, and Ethernet installations. Its design exceeds Cat 6 specifications and provides a larger bandwidth than the basic standard cable (sweep frequency up to 400 MHz).
The cable is constructed with four pairs of 23-gauge solid bare-copper conductors. The low-smoke zero-halogen jacket emits limited smoke and no halogen when exposed to high sources of heat, protecting people and equipment from toxic and corrosive gas.
Acting as a shield, an overall metal-foil screen with a drain wire helps further reduce the potential of electromagnetic interference (EMI). Other features include an internal rip cord to prevent damage to the individual conductors when stripping off the jacket, a cross filler to reduce crosstalk, sequential markings every meter, and a fumigated plywood reel.
