question
Does this battery come with a charger? Or is the recommended accessory shown (Dual V-Mount charger) just a luxury item?
Unfortunately, this battery does not include a charger. The Dracast DR-CH2V Dual V-Mount Battery Charger B&H # DRCH2V which is recommended as an accessory for this battery would be a solid choice since you can charge up to two batteries at once.

question
Can this battery be charged while attached to the light while the light is plugged in with wall power cable?
This is a fairly common question, and Kirk has given good info. Some batteries have an integral charger and do not need a separate charger, but they still cannot be charged from the light while the light is plugged in. --- Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at [email protected].

question
Can this battery be charged via the D-Tap connection? If so, I have a Switronics D-Tap charger, will it work with this battery?
We have not tested the batteries to be charged by this method. The D-tap connection on the battery is designed as a power-out connection, so you can power other lights that do not have a V-mount or Gold-mount, but which have an input for the D-tap cable. Trying to charge a Dracast battery with a D-tap cable can potentially damage the battery, and is not recommended. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at [email protected].

question
What are the dimensions of this battery? it says 6.7 x 3.9 x 1.5 but it seems to be the dimensions of the regular battery not the compact (regular is stated as 6.69 x 3.94 x 1.85 ), can someone please elaborate on the real size? mainly the hight?
Thank you Dustin. That is almost exactly what I got when I measured it -- 4.9 x 3.5 x 2 (126 x 89 x 52 mm) // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at [email protected].

question
How long would this battery power a Dracast CamLux Max LED light?
One Watt-hour (Wh) will power one Watt for one hour. The CamLux Max specs say it requires 18 Watts. By dividing, we can see that one 90 Wh battery should run the CamLux Max for around five hours at full power. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at [email protected].

question
I own an Arri Alexa Classic will this battery work? What's the max amp draw from this battery?
Based on the technical information for that camera, I will say the battery should work to power that camera, and that further, it should power the camera for about an hour. I cannot guarantee this, and we make no warranty that it will work, but it does appear as though it will not be a problem. // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at [email protected].
