Yamaha EMX7 Reviews

Compact and powerful

I bought this mixer to have as a back-up and it is now becoming my 'go-to' mixer of choice. It's lightweight, yet packs a punch and can handle just about any small to medium-sized venue. The digital menu is relatively easy to navigate, not a lot of 'menu diving' needed to get going. I use it in L+R/AUX1 mode (see manual) and hang two 8 ohm cabinets off of each output on the back using two Speakon line splitters and get great results.

So far so good

Just purchased this unit and have not fully utilized it yet - but so far so good. Sounds good and a lot of nice features packed in. I like the carry handles and the fact that I can stand it on it's back with the console/knobs facing up, or in the traditional 'box' position with the console angled back. One slight issue - I don't seem to be able to get the same signal strength through the mini phone jack input with my iPad, I have to crank both the iPad and master almost full to get a somewhat acceptable volume level, but still a bit lacking.

Does feedback suppression work on both the powered speakers and the line-out speakers?
Asked by: Alan
Yes, the Yamaha EMX7 12-Input Powered Mixer will apply the feedback suppression to the signal that is sent out from the Line output as well as the speaker output.
