    Delkin Devices 256GB reviews

256GB Cinema CFast 2.0 Memory Card is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dropped frames in 4K RAW This is a decent card if you are shooting anything but 4K RAW. First problem was trying to save money by not using a Black Magic Design approved CFast card. I bought the Delkin and shot several clips on 4K RAW and it worked fine, so I ordered a second one for swapping out when the cards fill up. I'm using an Ursa Mini 4K (not 4.6K) I shot a short film. Half the footage had dropped frames! And it's completely random. I strongly recommend not using this card for shooting 4K uncompressed footage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4k60 @ 800Mbps with the 1dx II all day Just tested it thoroughly with the 1dx Mark II. 4k60 filled up the entire card without a problem; no heat warning or anything. Shot in 4k 60p; 29:59 file is a massive 174GB! You can get about 41 minutes from a blank card total in this format. 256GB cards auto-format in camera as exFAT, and the camera DOES save the file correctly when it runs out of card space. Test complete, card is a keeper. Seems just as fast to me as the Sandisk that shipped with the deluxe kit. Shawn

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Won't keep up I use Canon 1DX Mark ii for 60p video. I have two of these cards. One will record 60p for 30 minutes. The other one won't record past 8 seconds. So, they are not consistently reliable. Tried to call their customer service and keep getting bounced around.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good The card worked great when I bought it (Oct 2016) but now (Apr 2017) I'm getting Movie recording has been stopped automatically because the card can't keep up with the 4k 60p DCI bitrate (1dx2). Do not waste your money on this one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk Used this card for a few weddings in my Canon 1DX Mark ii. We are recording in 1080x1920 HD not 4K and it worked well for the first two weddings and now it will only record up to 15 seconds or so at a crack and then it stops recording. I have tested the 4k out and I'm not sure if it was the card or the RAM in my computer not maxed out but it seems to drop frames and skip frames. This card is unusable and i'm extremely disappointed. I switched to a EGO card and it is working wonders in 1080x1920. Haven't tried the 4k yet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Update on earlier review It appears the card can be fixed by doing a "deep format" but this requires purchasing a CFast card reader. I can confirm I spent $50 on a reader and did the deep scan and know the card is operating like it should. Heres a link to details and instructions

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Card for the Canon 1DX Mark II So far I have shot 4K 60p, 30p, 24p and 1080p 120fps with these cards no problem. Overall there an exceptional value. I have used Delkin cards in the past and found them reliable. Since I'm using them on a DLSR there is a recording limit of 29:59 and in 120fps 7:29. This makes sense in 120fps because its writing for 29.97 playback which if you take 4x 7:29 comes close to 29:59. Overall have had no buffer or write problems. Often I'll review footage on the spot with no delay. Best value at the moment per GB for a Fast 2.0 card.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No issues at all! I have used three of these 256GB Cfast 2.0 cards with 1DX Mark II (4K 50p @ 800mbps) as well as for Cinema Raw Lite with Canon C200 (4K 50p @ 1gbps).. We have shot 3 music videos and 2 weddings so far and have had no issues with the cards. Tested them thoroughly before using them on projects as well (for example letting the memory run out and see if the video is saved etc.) and we have had no issues so far. I haven't experienced any overheating issues either. Definitely recommend it if you are using 1DX II or Canon C200.
