The G-DOCK ev 2TB 2-Bay Thunderbolt RAID Array from G-Technology comes with two 1TB G-DRIVE ev portable 7200 rpm hard drives along with a G-DOCK ev 2-bay docking station that connects to your system via Thunderbolt. Each of the 1TB G-DRIVE ev portable HDDs can be docked into the G-DOCK ev station or connected to a computer independently via an included USB 3.0 cable. When both drives are placed in the G-DOCK ev, you can configure the G-DRIVE ev HDDs into a RAID 0, 1, or JBOD array. G-Technology has preconfigured the drives in JBOD.
The G-DOCK ev comes equipped with two Thunderbolt ports for up to 10 Gb/s data transfer speeds as well as daisy chaining capabilities. With Time Machine compatibility you can plug this drive into your Mac running Mac OS X 10.9 or higher and begin saving and backing up your data. To use the drives with Windows systems, a reformat is required. For cooling, G-Technology has outfitted the G-DOCK ev station with a built-in fan.
