Bring out the full potential of your X-T2 mirrorless camera with the VPB-XT2 Vertical Power Booster Grip from Fujifilm. Able to hold one or two additional NP-W126 series batteries in addition to the one already in the camera, this grip will dramatically improve shooting time. The added power also enables multiple boost settings that improve continuous shooting speed, autofocus, and more. For more standard battery grip functionality, it is equipped with a shutter release button for more comfortable vertical composition and it has dual command dials and a focus point joystick for control in multiple positions. Other controls include AE-L, AF-L, Q, and Fn buttons. Additionally, video shooters will gain a 3.5mm headphone jack for monitoring sound and there is a 1/4"-20 tripod thread on the base.

Included with the Vertical Power Booster Grip is the AC-9VS AC Adapter which can power the camera from an AC power source. It can also charge two batteries at the same time in approximately two hours. The grip is dust and weather sealed and designed to operate at temperatures as low as 14°F.

VPB-XT2 Vertical Power Booster Grip is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 56.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just get it. There are lots of reasons to get a battery grip- balance, size of your hands, vertical convenience, etc. In my case, it gives me that longer battery life and balance in my big hands. It does defeat the notion of the smaller mirrorless camera, but I also take it off when I just want to do that kind of work. In the middle of a fast-paced job you might want to just stick with it but when things quite down, take it off and just walk around. As for balance, I have some big lenses and some older style flashes that are large when placed on the top of the camera. The battery grip is great at those times and helps your grip and balance.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Big Miss Fuji I'm a huge Fuji Fan and love the XT-2, but the Grip has big problems. The hand grip is poorly designed and feels really lose. I'm afraid it's going to break off. The big problem is the Boost. I had read about overheating and was carefully about how much I used it. It completely locks up your camera and I've lost some key pictures at races waiting for it to cool down. Seam to be getting worst so hoping my XT-2 isn't damaged. I really hope Fuji re-designs the grip to fit better and fixes or build in some type of warning before it overheads and locks up the camera. Until then, I'll being my XT-1 as a backup.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from XT2 Vertical Power Booster Having used numerous grips on my Nikons I found the Fuji vertical grip really is as it's called - a power booster. The functionality of vertical grips basically is the same for most cameras, it levels out portrait style images easily without becoming cross handed. In Fuji's case the power grip helps solve their battery problem when using the XT2 for longer periods of time. The VPB-XT2 holds 2 batteries of my choice (Fuji or Watson) and it gave me 2 days of power support while shooting a conference without changing the batteries or worrying about battery failure. It's a must have if your a sports or event shooter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the extra power longevity and AF and burst performance I wanted this to reduce the need to change batteries often and to get the improved AF and burst performance while out doing nature/bird photography. For this, it works great. I love the ability to recharge the batteries while in the unit. I found that you cannot put a soft button release on the vertical shutter release button, but that is OK since it would be in the way when in landscape orientation. It adds a lot of bulk and weight with the batteries installed, compared with the nice compact size of the X-T2 alone. I could not find a built-in storage compartment for the protective cap that covers the contacts. I'll have to review the manual to see if I'm missing it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Would buy again I bought this when I bought my X-T2 and I will admit that I bought it just to see if I really needed it. Well, I'll also admit that I don't really need it, but that's only because my photography needs don't include the boost function or extended 4K video recording. I have come to like having 3 batteries in the camera and not having to take them out to charge them. I think my favorite thing about the grip is the way the camera handles in the portrait orientation now. It's really that much more comfortable with the grip. The only weak point (and that's literal) in my opinion, is the riser that comes up from the booster grip along the front of the X-T2's right-hand grip. I think Fuji could have gone without that additional piece of plastic. This is because it's not rigid enough to hold the camera by and if you're in the habit of carrying the camera by the right-hand grip as I am (I work off-tripod a lot), you will feel that piece of plastic sort of pulling away from the camera. It's subtle but noticeable and it's the only part of the accessory that feels flimsy to me. Everything else is top notch and I've since gotten in the habit of holding the camera upside down by the booster grip when hand-carrying. I am working toward buying another X-T2 and when I do, I will definitely be getting another of these to go with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A must have For use on the X-T2, the vertical grip is a must have for owners of the camera since it enables features with the camera that you will not have unless it is attached. Minus one star because the part of it that goes over the built in grip on the camera feels a little flimsy and does not sit flush - it has a little gap which I do not like. Otherwise it is good; it works as intended and has good build quality. You should know that it adds significant weight to the camera

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A must accessory! So I initially bought this grip to boost the battery life and the performance of the camera and it does that perfectly! I shoot a lot on the portrait side and the grip is very comfortable, the second AF joystick works very well and so does the AF and AE buttons. It does make the camera heavier, so I wouldn't recommend putting it on if you plan on doing street photography for example (your hand will cramp up at some point). Overall, I'm very satisfied with it and it add a lot to the camera compared to DSLR battery grips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good I so much wanted to give this grip 5 stars - it has so many things going for it: double battery compartment, excellent grip/feel, and best of all, it is a power booster - which gives you a much faster refresh rate. The one negative (while holding it vertically) is that the focus toggle sits too low below the shutter - it should be slightly higher (where the AE-L and AF-L buttons currently sit), so I have to reach down and over to the right in order to adjust focus. Otherwise, this is a great grip for the XT-2.
