    Marantz Professional B11-C reviews

Audio Scope B11-C 5-Section Boompole with XLR Cable (11') is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not sure why the others cost so much? Beautiful build quality. And OK, so it's NOT carbon fiber, (that, I can see costing more) but in comparison to the other Aluminum models, I can't for the life of me figure why the others cost so much more?! worked great and I'm surprised at the physical quality for such a great price! if I was to "pick at" anything, I would say the rubber "O" rings (that bumper the segments) don't stay in place and are always in the way, but who cares? I think I will just take them off and trow them away anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy it again. This is a well built, solid, and very long (11') boom pole. I purchased it less than 30 days ago and have been using it almost every day. Easy to set it up and adjust. No complains.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good pole for the price, Don't buy "with XLR cable" version For the troubles you will have with it, considering that the "with XLR cable" version is not a coiled cable, it doesn't worth the extra 10$. I wanted to give it a shot and tought that if I would not like it, I would be able to take out the cable and simply use it as a external cable, but it's not possible... The only way to take it out is to cut the cable. So now you know. I tried to work with the cable inside, but this kind of cable is really not made to be put inside a boompole... That's a really bad idea from Marantz. Affordable yes, but the noise you're getting from the cable moving inside the pole is simply ridiculous. But for the price, the pole is good and after few manipulations, I was able to easily use it. Sturdy enough for 2-3 years... For 90$, it's a really good option for the intermediate soundman I am. Indeed it's made from aluminum, so if you have some difficulties with the weighty stuff, I would not recommand it. If I could talk with the people from Marantz, I would told them that it would be an really better deal if: 1-It would be possible to take out the cable without cuting it, cause I tested it before and the sound was good, so it's kind of a shame that I had to cut it. (Some would say that I should had return it, but the shipping would have cost me more that just buy another cable so... And since I had some extra cables at home, it was an easy decision for me.) 2-The cable would come separated from the pole. From there, I really recommand you to buy the version "boompole only" and add a xlr of your choice and use it as a external cable boompole.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More than I expected... Pleasantly surprised to find it to not be lightweight or flimsy. Bought it to use in shooting short videos for the church. Solid build and very quiet when handling with the help of the foam type wrap on the largest part of the boom.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 5 section? I only count four. I guess I’m gonna have to call Marantz about this one. It’s not as lightweight as I had hoped, either.
