    Optoma Technology HD27 reviews

HD27 Full HD DLP Home Theater Projector is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Picture is really nice, but projector failed me Picture is great but the projector has broke again for the second time. First time smoke started coming out the projector and completely melted the hdmi cord and blew out my cable box. I contacted Optoma and they said to send it in ( Which I had to pay for shipping) and received back in less than a week which was great. However, The projector failed me again 5 months later when again the screen froze then started to flicker and had to replace my cable box for a second time. I wish it could've worked out The projector I got was obviously faulty but should've been fixed when I sent it in the first time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Home Movie Theather - In Love! I researched many projectors before deciding to go for this Optoma. The Sony model I was looking at met all of my needs and expectations except I found it too large and bulky, understandably, as well as out of my price range. The Optoma was sitting next to it. While the image is obviously not as sharp as the Sony, it's sharp enough on it's own without the side by side comparison. Also, the colors were spot on to that of the Sony! I was immediately sold. Great price/value! IMPORTANT NOTE: If you don't want to pay over $2000, this is the projector to go with. One thing to keep in mind, if you are using with an older model MACBOOK PRO with the DVI port make sure to buy the actual MiniDV (MDP) to HDMI cable. The adapter does not work with it. You need the actual cable.
