Overall good

The weight and overall build quality is nice. However, if you unscrew some of the portions too much, the pole will separate. You will need to keep an eye out when you are loosening it. We are keeping it.

Great build, but a couple problems

I've only had a chance to use this on set a couple of times, but the same issue(s) keep occurring. 1. Depending on what brand CLR you have, it may not fit through the middle of the pole. In my case they did not, using Neutrik NC3M/FXX-B connectors. 2. The interchangeable 1/4 & 3/8 adapter keeps slipping inside the pole. When using a blimp on the end of the pole, the connector at the end would slip (even when fully tightened), putting stress and wear on the screw down connection of the adapter. Other than that the locks work perfectly, all sections slide well together, and lightweight considering how long it is. This boom pole works great, and I do like it, but using a blimp on it puts too much weight on connector at the end. If using just a shock mount and dead-cat you'll be fine, but be aware of its limitations.
