PFY RM-1 overview

  • 1Description

The RM-1 Gimbal Remote Control from Pilotfly enables you to control all your Pilotfly gimbal's functions from up to 33' away. Gain additional operating flexibility by having one person control the gimbal's movements while another handholds the gimbal itself or supports the gimbal in a dual-handled rig. The remote control also comes in handy when your gimbal is mounted in a sports setup, or for intricate tracking moves. The RM-1 Gimbal Remote Control is compatible with any Pilotfly gimbal and features an integrated 360° time-lapse function with five preset recording times.

The RM-1 Gimbal Remote Control's interface includes a mode button (calibration), a home button (resets all axes), and LED mode-indicator lights. Its four-way joystick button controls the gimbal's pitch and yaw functions while a side dial controls the roll function. The RM-1 Gimbal Remote Control can operate up to 20 hours when its internal battery is fully charged.

    PFY RM-1 reviews

RM-1 Gimbal Remote Control is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Remote better than the buttons on the gimbal. I like using the remote more than the buttons on the gimbal as this has a home button where on the gimbal you have to click the main button 4 or 5 times to get it to do the same thing. I use it a lot in my setup. I have the gimbal mounted on a monopad in my backpack to give me an elevated almost 3rd person look. I also use the monopad + gimbal as a boom so its away from me. Using the live remote on the x3000 and the gimbal remote, I can monitor and control my image from the other end just fine. I just wish the remote was smaller. Its even bigger than the live remote of the action cam so it makes velcro mounting it more difficult.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a must buy, but it does the job. This is a great accessory if you want that time lapse feature for the H2. It's super neat and does the job great. The remote to control the axis' are hard to master especially if you're trying to do a 2 man setup.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Read model number carefully Arrived with a rattle. Had to solder one battery wire back to board and replace double sided foam tape that keeps battery from moving. Does not work with C45 gimbal. Pilotfly says I need a RM-1b remote instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Remote control with time-lapse settings. Nice. This came free with the Pilotfly H2. I was extremely happy that it paired immediately with the H2, and worked really well. The time-lapse modes on this are definitely the major appeal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from trouble getting it to work correctly I'm sure when it works, it probably works great but I've had trouble getting mine to work.
