I have Eartec headsets as well. They never fail me. Likewise, the wireless/mobile capabilities are priceless. I actually do not know if the batteries can be switched. I would encourage you to stick to the name brand batteries that accompany the headset. Mine are rated for 6 hours. I never had to use them for that long but you don't have to worry either during a two or three hour shoot. Just my "two cents."
