Is this the same hood that comes in the box with the lens?
It's not the same one that comes with the lens. The one included with the lens is a plastic petal type (good quality, not bashing it) but I prefer this hood much more. It's shorter, metal and it's stays on on the lens all the time, no need to reverse it or take it off.

What polarizing filter can I use with the lens with the hood on? Or is this not possible?
Unfortunately, the FUJIFILM LH-XF16 Lens Hood cannot be used with a polarizer. However, a 67mm polarizer, such as the Cokin 67mm PURE Harmonie Circular Polarizer Filter (B&H # COPHCP67, MFR # CH164B67A: https://bhpho.to/42bRC7i), can be used with the round hood that came with the 16mm f/1.4 R WR lens originally.

This one wont fit the X100. Vello makes a round LHF-X100 which I own and is good quality. If you need a squared one, look for the JJC LH-JX100F (they also have a round one).
