Shure Beta 57A overview

  • 1Description

Excellent for acoustic and electric instruments as well as for vocals, the extremely versatile Shure Beta 57A Microphone is a dynamic microphone that provides optimal warmth and presence. The Beta 57A is appropriate for drums, guitars, vocals, and horns, giving true studio-quality sound.

The Beta 57A maintains a true supercardioid pattern throughout its frequency range, ensuring high gain before feedback, maximum isolation from other sound sources, and minimal off-axis tone coloration. Its neodymium magnet achieves a high signal/noise ratio, and a completely new hardened steel mesh grill design lets you take better advantage of proximity effect. The grill resists wear and endures abuse, too. The Beta 57A is an exceptionally versatile microphone, packaged in an advanced pneumatic shock mount.

Uniform supercardioid pattern for high gain-before-feedback and superior rejection of off-axis sound

    Shure Beta 57A reviews

Beta 57A Microphone is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shure Beta 57a I bought this mic yesterday from a local music shop after comparing it to the sm57, sm58, and a cheap audio tech. mic. The Shure beta 57a had the fullness of the sm57 and 58 but also added a little more detail in the high end that I was looking for. Another good all purpose mic for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good sound, solid, dependable I use the Beta 57 to amplify voices for a public board of education at remote meetings around the district. The mics' supercardioid pickup pattern provides excellent volume before feedback. It is a solid all-around performer that also sounds very good on recorded music performances.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality, affordable price. This is the upgraded version of the sm57; more dynamics, more detail. Generally, the sm57 are used to capture acoustic or electric guitar and drums. I found out that the Beta 57A does an excellent job on my voice, and just had to buy one for my self. Great value for the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A worthwhile option. It's a nice alternative to the SM-57 on snare. So far, I prefer it. I haven't used it on anything else. But it is the next step in my quest to transcend the SM-57 on snare, which is an unexpectedly difficult endeavor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Microphone This mic is good for recording electric guitars and drums. It's also good for vocal performances at clubs (I know several singers who bring their own to performances rather than using the club's equipment).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helped fix a problem, We have an announcer on our show who is a Metal singer and because he lacks a certain amount of finesse when doing voice over no broadcast mic seemed to do the trick. This one did.
