Ikan's VXF17 17" FHD 3G-SDI/HDMI/DVI/Component Desktop & Rackmount Monitor is equally at home in the field or the studio. It is small enough to be portable, while large enough for a small group of people to view it at the same time. It features a 17" TFT LCD screen with 1920 x 1200 resolution, 340 cd/m2 brightness, 450:1 contrast ratio for a sharp image, and a 110° horizontal viewing angle. It comes equipped with loop-through 3G-SDI, HDMI, component, composite, and S-Video inputs/outputs, so you can monitor your image and send the clean signal onto another monitor or record deck. An integrated DVI input accepts computer format video in addition to HD/SD video.
The VXF17 features built-in advanced display functions, such as Peaking, False Color, and Clip Guides, each one a valuable tool that the camera operator can use to check focus and exposure while shooting. The monitor also features an underscan mode, so you can shrink the image within the screen to make sure you are seeing the edges of the frame. The on-screen display simplifies navigating through the menu system.
The monitor features four function keys which you can assign as shortcuts to the menu system, as well as built-in tally capability. The monitor also incorporates a top handle, removable rackmount ears, and a table stand, all of which make it easy to carry, install into a rack, or set up as a desktop unit. The VXF17 is battery-powered, accepting 12 to 24 volts DC via the 4-pin XLR connector, or you can power it from the included AC power supply. VESA mounting holes on the back of the unit allow you to mount optional battery plates (not included) for professional-style batteries.
