MX202BC - Microphone with In-Line Preamp (Black) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mic! I use this mic to record House Concerts. It is suspended over the artist to capture better sound than my video camera does. It captures the real ambience of the artist in a live performance. I wanted something simple to have at the front of the room to my Zoom H4 in the back of the room (about 22 feet) without distraction. It is vey small and inconspicuous...I had to point it out to one of my friends and he was sitting in the front row! I also wanted something simple to use. I don't do a lot of sound capture, so this was a must! The MX202BC is super simple to use. It took me less than 10 minutes to hang it and plug it in and do a sound check. My sound now sounds professional without a lot of hassle!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for the Annual Christmas Pageant Used the mic on the included stand mount on a boom. Worked great for miking the dramatic scenes at the Christmas pageant. Kept the scene contained in a 8 foot radius of the mic. For EQ in the space it was in used the mid-sweep feature on the mixing board to 'roll off' the 600 hertz frequency's. Along with the 'low'. You will most likely have to adjust some eq for your space this is the reason I gave it a 4 star. If you are using a boom mic on a wooden step or frame and people are walking on that step you might need to have them enter another way of use a rug or something to 'shock-mount' the stand to prevent picking up the footstep sound. Overall you cannot go wrong with this mic for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great choir mic We have two hanging AT mics for our choir, but they just weren't picking up enough. We wanted to put one in the center to pick up additional sound, but the projector and screen are right in the middle, so we got one of these and put it on a stand to augment the two hanging ones. The stand adapter isn't quite what I expected, but it does the job. The only other complaint I have is that the cord is too long for what I need. I still haven't found a good way to wrap the cord without it getting tangled.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good micheophone for the price I've been using this model in my church for many years. It's good for the price. The only down side is you have to be carful not to pull it down from the cable. I had to replace few of those because some users tried to pull it down with their hands. Pick up pattern is OK but not perfect. Again, it's a good mic for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great microphone for school use. We have several of these hung above the floor in a performance area. They are over ten years old and have never had a failure, in spite of accidental bumps and drops.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great audience mic This mic is wonderful. It's small and inconspicuous, but it picks up amazing audience laughter and applause.
