Shure MX392 Overview

This black Shure MX392/C Microflex is a cardioid boundary microphone designed to capture high-quality speech and voice for sound-reinforcement and teleconferencing installations in governmental, institutional, religious, and business settings.

The MX392/C features a TTL Logic LED input and TTL Logic switch output, and a 12' unterminated cable that exits from the back of the unit.

The MX392/C can be permanently installed on conference tables, desks, or lecterns. Its sleek, low-profile design is ideal for conference rooms and other sites where minimal mic visibility is of high priority and aesthetics are important.

The microphone features a cardioid polar pattern best used for a single person or two people sitting side by side. The mic takes advantage of the boundary effect to capture clear speech with reduced room ambience for intelligibility. The interchangeable capsule design provides the installer with greater flexibility and makes it possible to easily reconfigure microphone coverage as the need arises.

The MX392/C is equipped with a programmable, silent membrane switch that can be logic-controlled remotely by various automatic mixers, teleconferencing systems, and control systems. A bicolor LED indicates the status of the mic.

The mic resists interference from devices such as cell phones and two-way communication devices. It requires 11 to 52V phantom to operate. Included is an easy-to-use paint mask for custom-color installations.

How do you regulate the volume of each mic?
Asked by: Jana
The mic (or multiple mics) will need to be connected to a mixer, amplifier or powered speaker and the volume of each mic can be regulated by adjusting the volume control for the individual input or input channel that it is connected to.
