The Modular Windshield TetraMic Kit from Rycote is a shockmount and windshield solution for the TetraMic, providing varying levels of wind protection for numerous microphone configurations. The shockmount Lyres have special grommets to hold the TetraMic microphone. The kit includes the windshield, shockmount, and Windjammer fur cover.
The shockmount uses non-elastic microphone Lyre suspension clips. The shape of the clips allows for a specific compliance to the microphone, and prevents handling noise and vibrations from reaching the capsule. The Lyre design gives improved isolation for cylindrical axial microphones. The Lyre suspension uses no rubber or elastic components to isolate the microphone from unwanted shock and handling noise.
