Senal UTM-86 Overview

The UTM-86-35H Lavalier Mic with 3.5mm Connector for Sennheiser & Senal Wireless Transmitters from Senal features an omnidirectional polar pattern and a frequency response optimized for voices and dialog. It can be used to deliver realistic and robust broadcast-quality sound for TV, live stage, theater, or any other applications where an inconspicuous lavalier microphone is needed.

The lavalier mic has a wide frequency response tailored for rich low frequencies and a natural-sounding mid range. The omnidirectional polar pattern provides minimal sensitivity to head movement and offers numerous options for discreetly positioning the microphone on a performer's clothing or wardrobe. A windscreen and a selection of various mounting accessories are included to accommodate miking scenarios for public speaking, interview, video, and film applications. Specially designed strain relief and cable insulation significantly minimize handling noise.

Optimized for Speech
The mic is built small, but doesn't skimp on quality. This lavalier features an electret condenser element with a wide dynamic range. The frequency response is tailored to capture rich, low frequencies and a natural-sounding mid range, which is ideal for speech and dialog.
Omnidirectional Polar Pattern
The omnidirectional polar pattern is minimally sensitive to head movement. If the subject turns his or her head while speaking, the UTM-86-35H will pick up the voice without any fluctuations in volume. The microphone captures sound that is slightly off-axis and is indispensable for minimizing vocal plosives and popping.
Low Noise
The cable can be a source of unwanted noise. A shielded cable protects against radio-frequency interference. Its insulation and specially designed strain relief minimize handling and cable noise if your subject is moving around while speaking.
Miniature Size
The small and unobtrusive capsule has a head diameter of only 0.2" (5.5mm) and makes the UTM-86-35H easy to conceal in a performer's clothing or props for onscreen and onstage use. The microphone is inconspicuous and will capture great sound.
Accessories
The microphone is suitable for all kinds of applications and includes several mounting options such as a single tie clip, double tie clip, a cable clip, a magnetic clip with lanyard, and a viper clip. Two foam windscreens provide extra protection against wind noise and vocal plosives.
Carry Case
A padded carry case holds the microphone and accessories securely and protects them from impact, dust, or moisture during transport.

As others have said, it's a little quieter than other lavs I'm used to, but it hasn't been a problem on my devices to just turn up the gain a bit. I also love the accessories like the lanyard/magnet that makes it easy to quickly mic folks in t-shirts or dresses or other garments without buttons and easy mounting points. I'll probably pick up another eventually.

Best cost-quality combo!

I love my Senal! It has a lower register than my previous lavalier and it handles movements way better as well. And $79? With all those accessories? There is no better deal on the internet. The cable is on the short side compared with my previous one, but perfect for my wireless pack.

i take input my zoom h4n. and i find it's only left sound is recording. right sound is very low. how to solve it? can u talk to me.

This mic is not designed for use with your recorder. It is specifically designed to match the input impedance of a Sennheiser or Senal wireless bodypack transmitter.

This mic is a little bit smaller than the ME2, and the performance is usually better. This Senal mic will usually be a better choice if you need to hide the microphone. I do think the ME2 mic is usually more durable though, and may be a better choice if that is a concern for your use. I would also recommend considering the Senal OLM-2 as an option, which is nearly identical to the ME-2: https://bhpho.to/300xXJB

Does it interfere with the DJI Wireless Mic like the Rode Lavalier Go?

The Senal UTM-86-35H Lavalier Mic would not be recommended for use with the DJI Mic because of its locking connector, which has been known to block connection with the DJI Mic's transmitter units.

No it will not. The Polsen wireless system takes a TA3 connection. This is a 1/8 locking connector wired for Sennheiser and Senal systems.
