Ive owned both vmount and gold mount versions of this. Theyre very light and decently durable. If anything would break its the clamps but those are cheap to replace. The dtap port is great. Would have been nice to have multiple though. Note: some people dont know but the plate can also use 30mm clamps because there are predrilled holes. If you want to buy them, search 30mm clamp gyrovu on B&H

The Gyrovu should work yes. But the proper Gold mount adapter for the Advanced Ring is -
