Will this work in place of the Ronan “intelligent” battery?
Sorry , your question is not clear, but we will try to answer as we understand it: This adapter is converting DTap/PTap output to Canon LP-E6 dummy battery. There are PTap output on Ronin-M powered by Ronin Battery. Our adapter will for with this output. It will work with any PTap / DTap output. We think that battery itself does not have PTap / DTap output.
It wil NOT replace any of the Ronin Battery.
