question

How do we turn off the wi-fi and gps? Everything else is great and I would like it.
Asked by: Robert
Page 79 and page 227 of the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR Camera's instruction manual (and pages 11-13 of the Canon 5D Mark IV Wi-Fi Function Basic Instruction Manual) states that under the Camera Settings section in the menu is the GPS and Wi-Fi/NFC settings, both which can be set to Disable to turn the settings off. Disable is selected by default; you must go into the menu and turn these options on to Enable if you wish to use them.

Will the The Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD MACRO Lens for Canon and the Sigma 70-600mm lenses work with this camera?
Asked by: Tina
If it is an EF mount lens, I imagine it will. The only non-Canon lens I own is a Sigma, and it works perfectly.

question

What is the Crop factor in the different video recording modes? Is the 4K cropped or is it Full Frame? If it is not cropped, then are they using Downsampling or Pixel Binning to achieve the 4K DCI output?
Asked by: Stephen
I think you should check out the new Sony a9, it may shoot 4K in FF... If not, I don't know which cameras will shoot $K in FF. Of course, when 5k is out they should all figure out how to give us a FF 4K. Remember N/C/S/L are not photographers, but engineers and designers. Look at the photos the Cos use on their sites.

question

can i use the 430 or 600 rt off camera without a trigger? can the camera link directly to the flashes and control them?
Asked by: Bryan C.
Phottix makes a nice trigger, Laso, that is RT compatible and is less costly than the Canon units. It also interfaces with Phottix receivers that can be applied to older Canon flash units that dont have RT capability. Ive used it in combination with a 600EX-RT, Yongnuo YN600EX-RT, 580EXII and 430EXII and it works flawlessly.

What is the best lens?

What is the best lens?
Asked by: Alex
My preferences are the 24 - 105L USM II and the 70 - 200L USM II lenses. The first lens is an excellent portrait lens where the 24 - 70 just does not do justice. Since I couldn't see paying the nearly $2,000 for the second lens I purchased a Sigma knockoff that was equivalent but cost $1,000 cheaper! If you can afford them purchase the Canon equipment where they have some advantages and better optics.

any used Canon 5D IV?
Asked by: josef
B&H usually has a substantial amount of used gear for sale, but you have too check their "Used Department". You can check by visiting their website and clicking on "Used" in the upper right corner of their homepage. PS: I purchased a new 5D Mark IV from B&H awhile back and have been very pleased with the camera.
