Equipped with a 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7-6700HQ Quad-Core processor and 16GB of 2133 MHz DDR4 RAM, the ROG Strix GL502 can efficiently multitask and quickly access frequently used files and programs. When handling a heavier workload, the CPU can reach up to 3.5 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost technology. For storage, it has a 1TB 7200 rpm HDD, which is ideal for storing photos, videos, and other large format files. Should you run out of storage space, you can connect external storage devices with its multiple USB ports as well as its SD media card reader, which can also be used to quickly transfer files between mobile devices. One of the USB ports features a Type-C interface that allows cables to be inserted in any direction. It also supports Thunderbolt 3 for connecting Thunderbolt-equipped devices.

Connect to the Internet via 802.11ac Wi-Fi or the Gigabit Ethernet port for a more stable and reliable wired connection. The connector also transmits data via USB 3.1 at up to 10 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort 1.2 allows you to connect up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 3 port.
Hyper Cool Duo-Copper
The Hyper Cool Duo-Copper cooling system features multiple heat-pipes and a dual fan system to cool the CPU and GPU. With it, the notebook will stay at comfortable temperatures so you can game for longer periods.
Tactile Keyboard
The ROG Strix GL502 has chiclet-style red-backlit scissor-switch keys that offer 1.6mm of travel distance. It also features highlighted WASD keys so you can easily know where your hands should be.
Immersive Audio
Hear and be heard with the built-in microphones and speakers. The microphones are capable of filtering out outside noise while the speakers, powered by IcePower, are positioned so you can enjoy crisp and clear audio.
ROG Gaming Center
Enhance your gaming experience with ROG Gaming Center. This downloadable software provides you with a control panel to multiple functions such as system information, hotkey setup, audio settings, recording options, and more. In addition, ASUS GameFirst III technology optimizes network traffic for faster, lag-free online gaming. You'll be able to choose between four preset package priority modes (Optimization, Game, Media Streaming, and File Sharing) to better suit your needs.
