The CY-18DR V-Cymbal Digital Ride from Roland is a multi-element sensor designed to produce a natural cymbal sound for the TD-50 drum sound module. The sensor enables the cymbal sounds to change naturally in different positions on the cymbal, from edge to bow to bell, which allows ride-cymbal play to be faithfully reproduced.
Whether you're playing legato cymbal swells, soft strokes on the bell, or strong crash accents on the edge, the V-cymbal captures each playing technique accurately. In addition, you can choke the cymbal with your hand and can softly mute the bow of the cymbal with a simple touch of a finger.
High-resolution sound triggering designed for the Flagship Roland TD-50 drum sound module
Recreates the subtle and smooth change of sound nuances from the bow to the bell area, as well as strong crash strokes on the edge of the cymbal
The wide range of the touch-sensor allows for cymbal-muting with a simple fingertip touch
