SanDisk 64GB UHS-II SDXC Overview

  • 1Description

Designed for professional photographers and videographers, the 64GB Extreme PRO UHS-II SDXC Memory Card from SanDisk features a storage capacity of 64GB and takes advantage of the UHS-II bus to support advanced DSLR functions such as continuous shutter bursts and rapid shooting, as well as RAW and JPEG captures. This card is also well-suited for video capture, including 4K, 3D, and Full HD video, and can achieve maximum read speeds of up to 300 MB/s and maximum write speeds of up to 260 MB/s. Thanks to its U3 speed class rating, minimum write speeds are guaranteed not to drop below 30 MB/s.

UHS-II media achieves its speed through an extra row of pins and while this card has been designed for cameras that are UHS-II compatible, it may be used in devices that do not support UHS-II. However, bear in mind that this card will then default to your device's speed class and bus rating, such as UHS-I and U3. If your device does not support U3, this card is compatible with the U1 and Class 10 standards, each of which guarantees minimum write speeds of 10 MB/s.

As with most SanDisk cards, this memory card is shockproof, X-ray proof, waterproof, while also being able to withstand temperatures from -13 to 185°F, allowing you to take this card with you into extreme environments, such as snow, deserts, and pools.. Should the card's data become compromised, you also benefit from the option to download RescuePRO Deluxe software as well as a limited lifetime warranty.

    SanDisk 64GB UHS-II SDXC Reviews

64GB Extreme PRO UHS-II SDXC Memory Card is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 92.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wash and Dry cycles I can't believe how stupid I was with the last photo shoot, but after I downloaded my RAW images to LightRoom, I stuck this memory card in the pocket of my jeans, fully intending to slip it back in its case when I got back to my camera bag. I forgot about it until I removed my jeans from the dryer a couple of days later and found the memory card bouncing around in the dryer. It had been through the wash and then while the clothes were drying it came out of my pocket and completed 40 minutes in the dryer. So dumb. But when I put it in the SD slot of my MacBook Pro, all the image files were still there and no worse for wear! Incredible! I love my SanDisk memory cards!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great way to get the most from your camera! These cards are the real deal! They are a must if you want to take full advantage of the speed your modern mirrorless or SLR is capable of. I tried a few older cards in my Fuji XT-2 and the buffer filled up in no time slowing my frame rate down to a crawl. These cards almost tripled the number of frames I could fire off camera showed any signs of slowing down. Keep all other brands, I'll take Sandisk hands down every time! P.S. When you buy any brand of memory card, make sure you buy from a reputable dealer such as B&H. There are a lot of counterfeits from China out there and they are junk. Buy wisely!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well with my new OMD 1 MarkII Works well with my new OMD 1 MarkII. I'd been reading about problems with cards and this new camera, but the Sandisk 64 had no problems keeping up with continuous image writing. Get this one for your MarkII.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The light finally came on! I purchased the Olympus EM-1 II about 8 months ago. I was using a 30MB/sec card in slot 1, and was getting very frustrated with the slow speed that birds-in-flight and moving insect images wrote to the SD card. Then I remembered reading that slot 1 was optimized for the faster SD cards. I purchased this card and have no more buffer/write to card problems at all. I highly recommend this card. It is pricey, but it has made a huge difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for GH5 I got this card because I had a problem with my GH5 recording to my previous UHS-II card from Sandisk. Fortunately, this card fixed that problem completely. Unfortunately, my older, slightly slower card turned out to be the problem. The GH5 is data hungry camera and I am happy to report that this card allows the GH5 to do it's thing with no record problems whatsoever. Really happy with the purchase of another great Sandisk product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast Card! Fast write and read card! Many cards read fast but write slow while this is fast both ways. Really pleased I bought this SanDisk Extreme Pro II. I recommend this card and will buy more soon.? Fact is, I bought this to back up the XQD card in my D850. However, I have decided to make this my main card and use the XQD as backup. Reason is, the SD reader is handier to use than the XQD and my notebooks have the SD reader built within.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased with product I recently bought a T6i rebel camera and tried continuous shooting with the card that came with it. After about a minute it started to slow because the camera's buffer was full. Then I put the 64GB Extreme PRO in the camera. At 300 megabits read and write the was still continuous shooting at full speed even after five minutes, not that I would ever shoot that long. But I do love the processing speed of the card for movie mode and sports mode. Well worth the money I think.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GH5 Safe Works well with the new V2 firmware on the GH5. 400Mbps means 20 minutes record time, so for that use a larger card would be recommended. Time to clear the buffer when taking photos is half the time (twice as fast) as using a UHS-I card.
