Add bass to your home entertainment experience with the MartinLogan Dynamo 1000 12" 500W Wireless Subwoofer, featuring a 12" driver with 500W of RMS power. With a frequency response of 22 to 200 Hz, the Dynamo 1000 is equipped to handle a variety of listening material. Its controls include a low pass filter, crossover, volume, and phase. It can be connected via cables or wirelessly with the included wireless transmitter and built-in wireless receiver. For additional versatility, it can be used in a front- or down-firing configuration.
Built-In Wireless Receiver for Enhanced Placement Flexibility
Although correct placement plays a key role in optimizing subwoofer performance, sometimes it imposes the inconvenience (and unsightliness) of running long lengths of cable through walls, along baseboards, or under floors and carpets. To solve the problem, the Dynamo 1000 incorporates a wireless RF receiver for use with the included subwoofer wireless transmitter.
High-Resolution, Low-Distortion 12" Woofer
The Dynamo 1000's driver pairs a high-power magnet structure with a 12" diaphragm to deliver high excursion while preserving bass detail, without distortion. The damping properties of the cone material also help ensure a smooth, non-resonant response.
Efficient 500W Amplifier
The Dynamo 1000's amplifier uses variable audio tracking power supplies to drive its class AB output stage, allowing the amplifier to operate at higher efficiency. With an energy-conscious design, the Dynamo 1000's amp consumes less than a single watt in Standby mode.
Front-Firing or Down-Firing Configuration
To enhance performance when installed inside of a cabinet or other discrete installation, the Dynamo 1000's standard down-firing configuration easily converts into a front-firing orientation. A grille cover and 90° RCA adapters are provided for use in front-firing applications.
Inverse Mathematical Equalization (IME) Filter
An IME filter is derived from the inverse of the unfiltered driver response. IME filtering is designed to yield accurate low-frequency response.
Sealed Cabinet with Internal Bracing
A sealed system will typically exhibit less transient-blurring group delay while maintaining smooth, consistent response regardless of the source material. Critically placed structural cross-bracing is designed to act as a baffle for the woofer while the added rigidity keeps cabinet-induced resonances and non-linearities to inaudible levels.
Suitable for Stereo and Home Theater Systems
Low-pass filtering and phase control are designed to make integrating the Dynamo 1000 subwoofer into a multi-channel home theater or stereo music setup simple and seamless. The main left/right line-level inputs feed into a low-pass filter with a cut-off frequency variable from 35 to 120 Hz. For systems in which a surround processor supplies the crossover, the Dynamo 1000 offers an LFE input that bypasses its internal filters.
Energy Transfer Coupler (ETC) Spikes
The Dynamo 1000 comes with ETC spikes that can be used in place of the feet to enhance stability on thick carpets, or to create tighter coupling between the subwoofer and the floor to enhance overall sound quality.
