I love B&H, but I don't love this adapter.

Looks nice. Color matches my Contax G lenses. The adapter fits properly to my A7, but the lenses are very difficult to mount to the adapter. Also, the focusing action is not smooth at all. I took it apart and scooped most of the stiff grease out of the ring gear, which helped a little, but the focus ring still sticks and jumps. The adapter also doesn't work with the 21mm or 28mm lenses due to the extreme angle of the light path from the rear element of the lens to the camera sensor. The lenses mount as well as the others, but the images are so bad there's no point.

The negative reviews aren't wrong. This adapter, like the ULATA, won't fit lenses like the 35-70... The lack of an indicator dot on the mount is very odd too and it makes mounting the lens very confusing... but at the end of the day... the adapter works! I primarily use it with the Contax 90/2.8, which is a great little lens but the focusing will definitely feel odd; That comes with the territory -- these are autofocus lenses that aren't meant to be used as manual focus. Long story short, the adapter is turning multiple gears within the lens to allow for focus control so once in a while you'll feel slight kicks... But once you nestle within those jerks, you'll have a decent range of smooth focus. I can't give this a full five stars because the adapter is fundamentally awkward to use and kinda confusing but the adapter does what it's supposed to, has great build quality, love the gold finish version I got... Metabones did a great job of matching the aesthetics of the lens to the adapter. Once the lens and adapter are attached, and you've practiced, you'll have a good time with these lenses. Have to be patient with it!

Yes, the Metabones Contax G Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera T Adapter (Black) will allow you to mount Contax G-mount lenses onto the Sony E-mount used on the Sony Alpha a5000 Mirrorless Digital Camera. Do note that while this adapter allows you to mount a Contax G lens on your Sony E-mount camera, automatic functions such as autofocus and electronic aperture control will not be supported.

Sorry, this adapter does not support the legendary Hologon f/8 16mm lens. All is not lost however. If you get the mount changed to a Leica M mount (check your local camera repair center) you can use the lens with this high quality adapter. Voigtlander VM-E Close Focus Adapter for VM-Mount Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera B&H # VOSCAMLE Not only does this give new life to this exceptional lens, the VM-E has a built-in 4mm helicoid which extends the lenses native 20 close focus down to 12 . This creates even more pronounced bokeh, something that already looks great on the Hologon because of it's fixed aperture, a perfect circle. WARNING!!! You can only do this if you use the a7's electronic shutter ONLY! You WILL destroy the mechanical shutter if you use it with this lens!

I'm sorry, no. This is for Contax lenses and not Nikon mount lenses. You would have to get the black color. That option is not available in gold.

If you own the Contax 28mm f/2.8 Carl Zeiss Biogon T* Lens For Contax G System, then yes, the Metabones Contax G Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera T Adapter should allow you to connect your lens to a Sony E-mount camera.
