Steiner P4Xi Overview

Steiner optimized the 1-4x24 P4Xi Riflescope for patrol rifles and AR platforms and designed the optical system with true 1x imaging (for aiming with both eyes open), high-contrast optics, and an illuminated reticle, each of which will add stealth and precision to your CQC operations. While the high-contrast optics will provide you with vivid images during the day, at night they are designed to improve target recognition and visibility. The P3TR reticle reticle is calibrated for 5.56 and 7.62 rounds, with stadia allowing you to confidently shoot to 600 yards. The housing is nitrogen-filled, waterproof and submersible, fogproof, and shock-resistant. It is crafted from a single piece of aluminum and features a 30mm maintube. In addition, the riflescope offers an eyepiece with printed numeric zoom factors. For fast and sure zoom adjustments, this scope also includes a throw lever that attaches directly to the eyepiece.

Great German Glass From The Carl Zeiss Schott Glass Factory

This is an outstanding optic despite its reasonable price point and 1-4x magnification with German Schott glass this incredibly bright, is plenty for most shooting situations. Don't be fooled by cheaper Asian glass with higher magnification ranges ie: 1-6x or 1-8x; they're far less usable in practice. Very nice reticle with a generous eye box and a true daylight bright illuminated dot. You want more you're going to pay 2-3 times the price of this scope. This is the second one of these I've bought from B&H; a truly excellent optic and B&H has been among the best companies I've dealt with online.

Is the Steiner 1-4x24 P4Xi shown here in MOA B&H # ST1X4X24P4XI MFR # 5202 available in MRAD or Mil? If so, what is the model number?

Nope. Not required in a 4x scope. Not even 1/4 MOA clicks, they are 1/2 MOA. Designed as a CQC (close quarter combat) rig. MRAD/MIL type rigs are designed for your typical sniper style, LR, rifles, and some come with 1st focal plane reticles, for those who NEED that. Quick school on 1st&2nd focal plane scopes: According to Caylen Wojcik, a former Marine sniper and the director of Magpul Cores Precision Rifle Operations, First- or front-focal-plane reticles for tactical/long-range shooting are a better choice because the reticle subtensions remain the same regardless of magnification. The benefits of this are range estimations using the mil relation formula, using the reticle for hold-overs and hold-unders in multiple target scenarios, and applying wind corrections using the reticle. All these situations become vastly easier with the first-focal-plane reticle.The primary difference between the two styles is really very simple. If your reticle is a mil-dot or some other type that offers ballistic corrections, and it is placed in the SFP, it will only provide the correct ballistic correction or ranging benefits if the riflescope is set to its maximum or a single predetermined magnification. In many cases, this is not an issue because if youre shooting at a distance that requires ballistic corrections, its very likely youll have the riflescope set to its maximum magnification.As initially stated, these 1x-Xx are short range rigs. Going longer, you will want something designed for the purpose. These scopes do not require a parallax adjustment, either, and are preset @100 yds.
