Really a camera with wings – technically propellers – the Breeze from Yuneec is an app-operated quadcopter that can snap 13MP photos and record UHD 4K video, even taking selfies. With a flying weight of just under a pound, it is designed to be compact and easy to take anywhere. Propeller guards, two batteries, and a carry case are included.

A Flying Camera

The integrated camera features 13MP stills capability and can record UHD 4K video. In addition, it can stream a 720p HD video to your mobile device

Automated Flight Modes

Use one of the flying camera's five automated flight modes to capture unique shots. Use Selfie and Orbit modes to take dramatic aerial group photos and video, or use Follow Me mode to grab compelling aerial footage of your action sports adventures
Selfie Mode
Position Breeze to snap the perfect aerial selfie – prior flying experience not necessary
Orbit Mode
In Orbit mode, easily task Breeze to orbit around you or another object
Journey Mode
By using camera pitch to calculate the trajectory of the aircraft, Breeze will fly away from you and then back to you
Follow Me Mode
In Follow Me, Breeze uses GPS to track your movement
Indoor Positioning System
Thanks to its Indoor Positioning System (IPS), the Breeze can hold its position indoors even without a GPS signal
Additional Modes
  • Auto-Landing
  • Return-to-Home

Flight Control System

Optical Flow and IR Sensors
Breeze has optical flow and infrared positioning sensors that allow it to hold its position while minimizing drift both indoors and outdoors

Design

Propeller Guards
Removable propeller guards are included – recommended for flying indoors, they help prevent the propellers from coming into contact with other objects
Lightweight Design
At just under one pound, Breeze is so that it can be taken anywhere. Foldable propellers and an included carrying case make Breeze compact for easy transport
Social Connectivity
Once you've captured photos and videos with Breeze, downloading and sharing via your favorite social media is quick and easy: select the photo or video you would like to share and choose which social network you would like to share to. Breeze 4K Quadcopter is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The ultimate selfies What can I say? It's a Breeze! What else can I say? WOW! The pictures and video are absolutely amazing. This little bad boy is not just cute, but also easy to fly both indoors and outdoors. If you have never flown a drone before, this is definitely the one to buy. Selfie mode is my favorite, I am no longer behind the camera, I'm in the picture! The possibilities are endless here. I took some footage of my son's soccer game and it was awesome!I do recommend buying multiple batteries. You are definitely going to want some extras.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Loses connection with iPhone easily. I was very impressed with how easy this drone was to get going straight out of the box. However, I had a very difficult time connecting it to my phone at random times. I'm a travel blogger and planned to use this drone for photos and videos of my travels, but it lost connection with my phone and fell into the ocean. The drone was only about 2 feet away from the phone when it started beeping angrily (on a fresh battery) and fell to its death. The video and picture quality is really great. The portability aspect is very nice. The price is fantastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredibly impressive flying camera There is so much to cover when reviewing this flying camera that this review is going to seem rather long winded, please bear with me. The video I refer to is on youtube and my blog http://openboxreviews.com Lets start with the packaging. It is very impressive, if you are giving this is a gift the lucky recipient will be very impressed, if it is for yourself I will assume that you will be rather impressed as well. This does come with a case to hold everything and this is possibly the only negative that we have about thisflying camerais that the case does not have room for the battery charger and a handle wouldnt have hurt either. That is all the negatives you are going to hear from me, now onto a lot of positives. This unit includes the case, the drone, 2 batteries that last approximately 12 minutes each, blade guards that attach very easily, extra blades and screws, battery charger and cord, USB cord to upload images and video onto a computer, detailed and very helpful instructions and a partridge in a pear tree.If youre wondering about landing gears, they actually fold out from the bottom which is a nice feature. You will hear my husband mention a couple times in the video part of this review that is important to read the instruction, this is not just because there are a lot of important warnings but it is also because this does so much you might miss out on some of its amazing features if you dont read up on them. This is not your standard quadcopter, this is truly meant for capturing arial photos and videos. This has the option to shoot in 4K, 1080 and 720 and there are additional settings in some of those that allow you to tweak your image definition even more. Not only that but unlike a lot of less expensive drones you can adjust the camera angle on this while it is flying and since you see everything on your phone in real time you can adjust it to make sure you are getting the image you want, no guess work at all. There is no controller included with this and that is because you control it from your smartphone or tablet. The first thing you need to do is download the app. You find this by either going into the apple store or google play store (depending on your device) and search for Breeze Cam this is the app you will need to pilot your breeze. Once you have the app you will be able to connect to theBreezevia wifi. This camera drone emits its own wifi signal and it actually has a very impress distance. When connecting to wifi you will see the wifi signal named, Breeze_xxxxxx, (you can change this later after it is connected). You will need a password which you will find in your instructions but just in case you lost them the default password is 1234567890. My husband tested this out most recently at my parents house, a place I lived at most of my life and because of the height theBreezecould fly at I was able to see my childhood home in ways I never knew existed. They are on 15 acres and you could see all of it and beyond. It was a very windy day there as you will see in the clip of their wind spinner going like crazy and still we were able to get steady photos and video. Be aware that there is no sound with this camera which is fine because when you have sound with a drone it just sounds like propellers spinning anyway. There are 5 modes in the app you can use for flying and taking photos. I show examples of each in the video part of my review. Pilotmode: This is basically flying around like your standard quadcopter. Selfie mode: Basically what it says, the quadcopter will hover in front of you to take photos and/or video, no more having to have someone sit out while taking a family photo no matter how big your family is. Orbit mode: TheBreezewill start at one point and then film in a 360 degree circle around you, you can even reverse directions so that it goes the opposite way too. Journey mode: You can set a predetermined starting and stoping distance as well as a height and the camera will hover at the starting distance than fly backward to the stopping distance then back to the starting point filming you the whole time. Follow me mode: Since my husband is a skateboarder I can see him using this one the most. You can go to the image that the breeze is picking up on the app, pinch a square around the image you want theBreezeto follow and it will follow you, this is a very cool feature. Other interesting things to note: There is a home option where if you are flying theBreezeand, lets say it tells you your battery is getting low (it does that too by the way) you can have it come home, it will come to you at a predetermined height and slowly land on the ground. We didnt realize at first that it was set at 20 so the first time we tried this it would come close to us and then shoot into the air before landing so if that happens to you that is why. You can also change the heading on this by pushing a button, this makes it easier to fly theBreezewithout having to work the controls in reverse. Im sure Im missing other points but those are the basics, I feel like it could take a while longer to really learn how to use this to its true potential. It is easier to fly than most quadcopters especially ones that are strictly app controlled, the videos and photos it produces are impressive to say the least and whether youre a photo enthusiast or a quadcopter/drone enthusiast or just someone who likes gadgets I have a hard time believing that you would be disappointed with this. I could see this being a fantastic tool for realtors, photographers, extreme sports fanatics, really the possibilities are endless. This is officially a very impressive product. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little compact quad. Bought this when it was on sale and just wanted something to bring camping and on trips to take pictures and video with. The tilting camera is good, but very sensitive and jerky to move. The controls on phone and iPad are ok. You've got to be gentle in controlling as you can get shakey video very easily. Hovers well in light wind and maintains its position for the most part. Could be better, but for stationary video and selfies it works great. I get just over 12 mins flight time and it comes with 2 batteries - charges quickly too. Setup was simple and calibration took only 1 try. Very easy to use and good for the money!

My package included two batteries which gave me over 20 mins of flight time.. I found it very easy to both save and share my photos! Range on the quad is very good, and I have had it over 200ft in the air and about 280ft away from me.. the video downlink is excellent and quality is outstanding

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad Feeling I had a bad feeling when i placed the order for this. B&H shipped it fast. I had problems getting it to work with my cell phone or iPad. I got the app to fly the Breeze, but had problems right from the start. The company was nice to send me a shipping label, but now it seems that I may have to PAY for repairs. Like it is MY fault because it would not hook up with my WIFI. I was hoping to be flying this thing now. Our RC flying field is under water, LOL. It does seem well made and it is package like a IPhone. Just hope that that comes back from being repair and lat as long as my iPhone. I'm a old timer, who still loves to fly RC. And I see many uses for this drone. But I have started looking at the DJI Phantom line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great compact photo drone A great small photo drone. Pros: Light weight, small, simple, automated, still photos look great, quick start up time, Cons: Electronic stabilization not as good as gimbal, short range wifi control, initial software on android has some glitches, wifi sometimes difficult to connect to on android I would recommend this if your new to photo drones

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Portable - Easy to Fly - Safe ! Wow, what a nice and portable quad.. you can take this with you pretty much everywhere you go! First of all, this comes with 2 batteries, a charger, prop-guards, the quad, carrying case, memory is built-in, even the USB cable is included. If you have a cellphone or tablet, everything you need to go from nothing to flying is right there, in the box. The free app you need on your phone or tablet is very intuitive and user-friendly and it includes all the instructions, step-by-step, with everything you need to learn how to use this quad. It is very light weight (385 gr) can record 4k video, or FHD video with image stabilization, and of course also take 13 MP pictures. The maximum distance from you is 100m and the maximum height is 80m. Flight time is 10 minutes (depending or how you fly, wind, etc). It moves around at a maximum speed of 5m/s, and you can lower that in the software, so it is pretty safe to use as it won't go too high or too far or too fast! It will give you live view on your device at 7200, and it comes with automatic flight modes like Follow Me, Orbit, Journey and Selfie that make it really easy to take aerial pictures of you and your friends. It also takes off and lands itself automatically, and even has a return to home function. Think of this as a flying selfie stick that can also take videos. The app makes all these very easy to do. Alternatively, you can fly it in Pilot mode, which is basically a manual mode. It also includes an indoor positioning system, as well as a GPS and compass for flying outdoors. But i definitely recommend flying it outdoors, with ample free space around it. Finally, sharing on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube is very easy because you can download all these files from the Breeze straight into your phone or tablet and share right away! There are also many tutorial videos on YouTube made from Yuneec that you can watch - these are pretty well made. Yuneec overall is a company with excellent record of customer service, and that is also something to keep in mind. In a nutshell: Very fun, easy, safe and very portable - i keep mine in the car all the time!
